I wanted something inexpensive, packable, lightweight, waterproof, and easy to clean for both ground cover and beach cover that I could share with my wife and daughter (they’re high maintenance don’cha know). Three adults can easily sit legs crossed on this blanket or two adults can lay across the blanket with feet dangling off one edge. I compared several items and what sold me were the reinforced tie-down corners and small lightweight plastic spikes that hold the blanket in place. Although the spikes are plastic, they should last as long as you don’t use a hammer to push them into a the sand or dirt. The carry bag this ground cover packs into is alright but will likely not outlive the blanket. However, that’s ok as I have lots of sturdy stow-and-go bags for hiking and such. Although I have not used this yet, I am confident I made the right purchase. The item arrived within a few days of ordering right on time.

I take this blanket with me everywhere! It's light, easy to store, and super handy to have on hikes, at the beach, camping, or just about anywhere else. The plastic stakes are tough. They are a snug fit on the little loops to secure the blanket to the ground but that's not a problem. Recently my dog knocked an entire Citronella candle on it while we were camping. There's a light grease stain remnant but overall the product survived scraping, a hose washing, and eventually a trip through the gentle cycle in my washer in my attempts to clean it. I will be taking mine on a national parks tour in August. Get yours today! Give it as a gift to the adventure lovers in your life. This is an update for the two blankets I recently purchased. Yes they’re still lightweight. Sand brushes off easily. However, SO disappointed that the corner pockets have been removed. They were so perfect for situations when you couldnt use the stakes. Putting a few rocks or even sand in the pockets kept them perfectly in place. Please add them back!!!!What a great blanket! The only thing I wish were different is the size. A little larger would be great. This is very lightweight, perfect for travel and we tested it against the rigors of Hawaii with perfect results. The sand comes off easily and the material keeps your items as clean and dry as possible when you’re at the beach. I purchased 2 and placed side by side it makes a great area. Even in the hot sun the material stayed cool and comfortable. . The stakes work well Including the corner pockets. Highly recommend this! Would buy again!!

Bought this for a trip to Maui and it was fantastic. Easy to carry and stake into the sand. Sand doesn’t stick to it and it dries super fast. Easy to fold and pack back into the carrying case too! Highly recommend.

I just went to the beach and used this blanket. It was fantastic. It's easy to handle, the sand doesn't get stuck on the blanket, even the wet sand. It's easy to fold and pack, and it doesn't weight anything. It's also the perfect size for me, my wife and the stuff that we bring to the beach.

This is just a really thin tarp. It won’t keep the sand off when you sit on it, and sand doesn’t sift through, but when you pick up the tarp, all the sand will slide off of it. It’s smaller than I thought it would be, and I couldn’t get it back into the stuff sack. Odd size- you can’t lay down and have your feet still on it unless you’re a small child. Check the measurements!

This was a present for a friend who is all about simplicity, convenience and cute things. She loves it! We used it as a picnic sheet, it's water resiliant and very easy to clean. The sand just slides off, it doesn't get in like with the towels and blankets. Very lightweight and easy to carry. Doesn't take up much space and it's cute!

I got this blanket to have it with me everywhere in case my baby wants to crawl or play somewhere. So far we have used it many times in parks and at the airport. It is quite compact so you can carry it everywhere. The quality is great. It won't keep you warm but it will keep you clean. We love it!
