Men's Laurel Leaf Headband

I was surprised by the quality of plastic used; it's quite thick and not flimsy at all. There's a cushion for the part that touches your head, so it won't scratch you but I didn't find that to be all that helpful. I found the "adjustable tie" to be unnecessary and separating the heavy plastic in that way actually made the crown droop a bit, rather than just sitting balanced on the head.I actually used this for a costume that required it to fit the other way, so I cut off the tie part and sewed the headband do a wig. Since the entire thing is made of thick plastic, I weaved the thread between the leaf design and was able to successfully secure it in place.If you're wearing this with a wig or will be incorporating it into your own design, it's great. But if you're going to be wearing it on your own head (no wig) for a frat or halloween party, you'll be adjusting it all night.

The Laurel Leaf Headband fit perfectly on my son's head. I was worried because my son's head is rather large for an 11 year old and wasn't sure the headband would fit. And as previous reviewers said, looked well. Not agreeing with other reviewers-- the tie back was fine. It actually added something to the head band. I liked the color- it was not a brassy gold but somber color. My son needed it for "Museum Day" at his middle school and it arrived earlier than expected-and in a box. It is well made with a comfortable spongy material liner. My son wore it all day and did not complain about any discomfort. He was dressed as the Greek God Apollo, and though the band is wider than a lot of laurel wreaths, the headband did not look big on him. The look and fit was perfect!!

Fit was perfect and it even had a foam band inside to make it more comfy and it actually helped the band stay in my hair. Arrived earlier than expected! I wasn't expecting the elastic closure, so that too me by surprise, I mean, I guess it works and it's easy to hit the elastic in the hair, so I can't complain. Love this product!

Made from thick, sturdy plastic so it's not flimsy at all. It has elastic on either side that you tie to fit your head, so it has a stretchy, comfortable fit. It fit my 10 yr old son with plenty of room to spare, so would definitely fit an adult head. The gold color is very dull (even a little more dull than what's pictured), so I spray painted it a nice, bright true gold. It was perfect for my son's Zeus costume!

The cheap foam liner will irritate your bare skin. If it touches your forehead directly, you will only be able to stand having it on for a few seconds. Unless you have a callous, leathery forehead, or a hairdo (as pictured) that protects you from contact with the abrasive foam liner. Alternately, it could function as a sort of mini hair shirt for your head.As it is ineligible for return, I may replace the liner when I get around to it. I also bought the more expensive, identical-looking laurel wreath headband for $11 (amazon.com/gp/product/B00S8PEA00), and I'd say the extra fiver is definitely worth not having to go through the hassle of replacing the liner. That other one is fine and I plan on getting it again.

A little hard to tie once if you have it wrapped around your head already. Fixed that by making the knot/bow in advance then slipping it over my head. It was slightly hot/uncomfortable but otherwise fine and worked well with my costume. It stayed on all night without slipping which made me really happy.

Basically a molded plastic strip with foam for sweat, and elastic ties in the back. If I had time to shop around for a few days maybe I would find a better one, but this one worked out fine. It was reasonably comfortable'ish and helped the costume look a little better.

Got this for a friend who was playing Julius Caesar. The cushioning was a nice touch, but the ties should really go around the ears, not at the back of the head. Looks good.
