The Ginger People, Ginger Pickled Sushi Organic, 6.7 Ounce

Since my husband likes adding ginger to sushi at restaurants, I decided to experiment with adding some to our own homemade vegetarian sushi. I was amazed at how amazing this ginger tastes. It has the most wonderful flavor and isn't even hot. The ginger is more on the sweet side, making it a great ingredient for sushi lovers who don't want anything spicy. It's also great for anyone who loves ginger but doesn't want to peel and cut it themselves. After having bought this brand four times, each jar is consistent. It always has the same wonderful flavor and doesn't have unnecessary ingredients (something natural and organic households like mine worry about). It also has the prettiest color, but this is more something I expect from pretty much every ginger brand. This ginger's flavor and its ease of use in recipes make it a must in my household!

Love it and has no food colorings like the others!

I love sushi ginger, and I appreciate the organic ingredients, but the taste and formula of this brand differ depending on whether it's made in China or Fiji. The taste is what you'd expect if made in China. The taste is different than what you'd expect if made in Fiji. To reduce the total grams of sugar in the formula made in China, I drain the liquid and refill with bottled water. I drain the liquid from the jars made in Fiji, but I don't refill them with water. Due to the difference in taste, I only use the jars from Fiji in a fruit salad with yogurt, cherries and/or bananas, etc.

I'm used to the somewhat raw, bitter ginger to eat with my sushi and this was a bit too sweet for my taste. My husband thought the same without knowing my opinion initially. The quality is good but I don't think it need the added cane sugar in the ingredients - or as much as they added.

Perfect complement with asian and seafood stir fry and soups.

Amazing...ate almost whole jar...lol... I of 3 came broke but they replaced it...good value...tastes healthy

Brown color. Bad smell. Spoiled. Requested and received a refund. I used to love this product-it used to taste slightly sweet and mildly spicy, delicious, but now it seems impossible to get it fresh even though it almost doubled in price.

I love having pickled ginger at my disposal. Great for clearing the palate, or adding a few slices to broth or tea. Great value, and will last me a while!
