Great Quality
The wood is high quality and just the right thickness. The instructions were really good and easy enough to follow, the time taken was roughly the time on the packet.

ingenious little construction piece
Nice that it's wood and not another bit of plastic. Hard enough to be a bit of a challenge but not at all off-putting. Made with/by my 8 year old and he enjoyed it. None of the bits broke when removing from the frame. Only minor disappointment is it's a bit small.

Great for beginners
My recent introduction to Ugears wooden assembly kits was with the Bike VM-02 with 189 pieces, and then the Roadster VM-01 with 437 pieces. I found these to be challenging but very satisfying as each was completed. I was interested to know how the cheaper educational models compared so I built the clock which is not self driven, has just 43 pieces and can be completed in under two hours.I would say that this is an excellent starter kit as it can be operated manually and has a fairly complex gear system to move the minute and hour hands. For a young person interested in science and engineering the next model to complete would probably be the gear box or differential. All good learning stuff for those budding engineers..Best tip: Wax all the gears even if the instructions don't suggest it. You will find the model will work very smoothly if you do this. Have fun.....

Clock
This was a gift. I've been told that it was less difficult than they thought, the quality is good. They would of like it to have bigger but the is okay and the function looks great
