Must read for anyone regardless of where you are in your investment journey
I don't have the luxury of sitting down to read a good book. I'm more of audiobook "reader", but this book was only available on kindle at the time. I knew who the author was, so I purchased this to read when I found small pockets of time. That was my original plan, but I started reading this just to get a glimpse, and I ended up giving up my whole weekend to finish the book. Why did the book draw me in like it did? From beginning to end, I found so many parallels to my life in the story. Working long hours, trying to hit deadlines, priorities at work overshadowing priorities at home, tension at home, financial dilemmas. The story is about a simple family just trying to get by. Many of us can relate to that. I love how the book doesn't necessarily tell a story solving all the character's problems. Instead they are mentored to take action, and make smarter decisions that are more beneficial to their financial future. This book helped me starting asking myself questions I either didn't consider, or ones I hadn't asked myself in a long time. I'd recommend this book to any investor that needs to be reminded of why they started their journey in the first place. For the first timer, I'd recommend it as well because you'll realize that just working and hoping you have enough at retirement is not really a retirement plan.I can count on two hands how many physical books I've read for personal growth or entertainment. This one was definitely time well invested. The last time I felt this awakening from a book was when I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad. For me Rich Dad, Poor Dad was a book that made me rethink "what" I have to do to gain financial freedom. The Wise Investor was the book that made me rethink "why" I have to do the things I'm doing to gain financial freedom. The "why" is what is going to keep you driven. Personally my "why" are those that I send off to school every morning and the one I kiss goodbye before I'm off to work. Thanks to the author for reminding me of that with this book.

Filled with Invaluable “Real Wealth” Lessons
Rich Fettke’s new book, “The Wise Investor” is page-turner filled with invaluable “real wealth” lessons about how to find true happiness - that includes wealth, good health and loving relationships. It’s a very relatable story about a successful business professional (Ryan) who takes a hard look at his life and makes some tough decisions with his wife/partner (Karisa) that set the couple toward a financial freedom path. And what is also brilliant about this book is how Ryan works closely with a mentor (John) who has been there and done that - with success. Must read for anyone who wants to get out of the 9-5 “rat race”. Highly recommended.

Great read! Instant classic!
This book has all the makings of a classic - a very relatable story for those struggling to prioritize career and finances. It's a great start if you're looking for direction and a path forward or, even if you've got most of your stuff 'figured out', it's a solid check-in reminder on why we do what we do and not to allow lifestyle creep to out run our finances at the expense of what's most important - quality time.Rich does a great job putting these strong lessons into a very digestible story.I ended up with both the book and audio versions and having the audio portion read by the author is huge plus. I'll be buying and sharing a few of these with friends and relatives.

Great education in a beautiful story!
I mainly read fiction, however I am diving deeper into real estate investing and educating myself about it. I’m familiar with Rich and Kathy through RealWealth, and read the description of the book. It seemed a nice balance of storytelling and non-fiction education. And that it is!I have to say, by chapter 3 I was fully invested in Ryan and Karisa's story, I found myself rooting for them and the knowledge that they were learning to better their lives. There were parts of the book that made me laugh and parts that brought tears to my eyes. Rich has a very natural way of telling a story, weaving in real life financial struggles that a lot of people face with easy to manage steps to create financial freedom. There are a lot of inspiring messages and quotes in here as well. This is not just a book about “real estate” - it’s about finding what happiness and success means to you and manageable ways to reach it. Very powerful! I’m so glad I read it.

Great Read
Mr. Fettke did an incredible job explaining the concept of investing in rental real estate. The Wise Investor is a "how to" for those individuals who are looking at investing in rental real estate. A great step by step approach, and was a fun book to read.

A reminder to check in with ourselves on what we really seek
This is a parable with themes around wanting more, reflecting on what you really seek, not what others want for you, and finding mentors who are living in ways that inspire you. It would be easy to take this book at face value and tell yourself you can't relate, yet if you find yourself in a place where life is not what you hoped it would be, it might be time to reconsider the path you are taking and this book could provide some inspiration. I found the book grounding and encouraging and recommend it to anyone who finds themselves daydreaming about creating a more fulfilling life.

Great Read and Inspiring Story!
I really enjoyed reading this book and had a hard time putting it down. The author does a great job of developing a good story that you want to read, while also teaching important lessons about investing! It's not a nuts and bolts book when it comes to investing / real estate, but it is a very inspiring and eye opening read on the topic. This is a great read for both someone thinking about investing in real estate and someone who is already involved investing in real estate and looking to be inspired.
