I broke my ankle last June and had to ice it. I waited until it healed a bit then started using these every day. Was a big help in lowering the swelling.

This is a great invention! You can use it for ankle or elbow and it works great stays cold for about an hour. I use it for my plantar facitus and my tennis elbow.

I didn’t like how the package came. Honestly it looked like it was opened. However, my cousin loved it. I bought them because he’s on his feet at work and it swells a lot. He loves how he can put them in the freezer and use it as an all-around, 360 icing and compression at the same time. He’s really grateful for them. I might purchase another pair for him just in case.

Broke my ankle in 3 places and these ice gel packs worked wonders! Didn’t have to deal with ice packs because these actually fit your foot and covers your ankles also! Came in pack of 2 so always had an extra cold pack waiting to be used! Kept in freezer when not in use and coolness lasted around 15-20 minutes and very comfortable and easy to put on! Great for swollen and sore feet and ankles!

I have had to use a lot of ice packs in my life, and whatever the miracle material inside this pack is — is amazing. My previous ice packs always got too hard in the freezer (but not cold enough to provide any relief in the fridge), and then I’d have to take them out of the freezer and WAIT for them to get soft enough to wrap around whatever body part was hurting me at that moment. This material is like a floppy, gel-infused pad that never gets hard in the freezer, but is SO LOVELY and COLD to have on a hot, puffy, irritated body part. I love it SO MUCH. I just had pretty major foot surgery and my foot and ankle get really bloated now that I’m back at work, unable to elevate or get much relief from gravity. I literally fantasize about getting my foot into this bad boy at the end of the day. I just bought a two-pack so I can keep some in the freezer at work, too! I really love this ice pack - one of my best purchases yet!

Gets really cold

I have this on my ankle as I write this. The product is superb. It puts delicious cold exactly where it's needed. Other reviewers have complained that it doesn't stay cold long enough. This is an artifact of the gel medium but it's really not an issue. When using ice therapy one should be cycling on and off every 20 minutes, e.g. 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. While the pack will not refreeze in that time, the solution is to rotate them. I'm finding that having four of these is ideal as the next one will be frozen while the current one goes to the back of the cycle. No solution is perfect, and at this price, having four of these is just not an issue.

I like the way this product easily slips onto to your foot and ankle. It can be used for heat and cold and I have used it for both. The ice mode does not last a long time, but it is still effective. I have since noticed that the seam on one of them has split, so it is not clear how long it will last, but I am still using it and I prefer it to plain ice which is too cold without using a towel or other material to prevent damaging the skin.
