I am 55 years old, and I have taken numerous different probiotics over the years. Also, as a person who has lived for 55 years, I have also experienced a range of bowel issues, from watery stools (due to food poisoning) to loose stools, to normal ones, to firm ones, to very firm ones that were hard to pass. Well, recently, something happened to me that has NEVER happened to me before, and the only change was this alleged probiotic. I didn’t eat anything different, didn’t have a different schedule, nothing. Just the probiotic was the variable. ** If you’re squeamish and don’t like TMI, stop reading this paragraph. Skip to the next paragraph if you wish. ** Well, I was stopped up so badly that I couldn’t even pass the stool. It wasn’t just hard to pass; it was impossible. Luckily, I keep latex gloves on hand, because I had to literally dig the stool out of myself. The kind of thing medical shows make interns do as punishment. I have never ever in 55 years of living been constipated that badly. I’m a bit unsure about this product and company. First of all, why are none of the well-known and respected probiotics companies putting out products with akkermansia in them? I read that most products are not live, but that this company has figured out a process to keep them viable. Wow. But I read that on wikipedia, which should’ve been a red flag. And I’ve never heard of this company. And when I opened the bottle, it smelled like vanilla. Hmm, why put that in there? Suspicious. I threw the rest of my bottle away, and I won’t be buying more. Also, I would forget to take this product every day, but when I did remember to take it, the following day would be a constipation day, and the episode referenced in the first paragraph happened after taking this product for two days in a row. So, I do think there’s enough of a correlation to blame this product.

It is great! The prebiotic fiber helps very much.

If these were the bees knees for gut health I didn't notice any change. They came so highly hyped and were costly too.
