This product is great! It has two light settings so you can set the brightness depending on the page, which is very helpful in some circumstances. The one annoying thing is that the holes only fit AndyMation’s paper, but overall it is an amazing product.

Beware the paper doesn’t fit. Entertained my 9&12 yr olds for one night. It was a TikTok thing they wanted. Not worth the hype. But have 3 stars, I’m sure you could make it work with the right paper (why there are different sizes for this is beyond me, it’s not clear in any of the labeling!)

Andy has inspired my boys to do stop motion and flip books. They were doing them on index cards on there own or on the edges of there notebooks. I had to get them this set to provide the logistics to have them create. Note the light is not rechargeable it's plugged in all the time.

This light pad is perfect. The size is just right for notecard-sized sheets that you can get from Andymation or you can buy generic blanks and punch the holes yourself. Though I highly recommend buying the ones from Andy, simply because they are perfectly placed and sized for this light pad. There's MAYBE one-millimeter drift when you're drawing. Additionally, the pegs are large enough to secure 5 sheets comfortably and you can push another 1 or 2 if you're a crazy person who needs to see every image in the sequence. I've been animating since I was a kid (30+ years ago) so I'm used to traditional 3-peg animation boards. As such, this is the perfect downscaling of the board that I've used for the last 2 decades in terms of what I've mentioned above as well as brightness. This board is also perfect for my kids. It's durable and small enough to be turned around by smaller hands as drawings progress. I wish I had one of these when I was a kid, but that's one of the great things about being a dad - I get to be a kid again as an adult. ;)

I've flip books has holes are different distance, this will work only if you buy flip books from same company. Not bright enough. It still uses micro USB. LED should be brighter, work only for 2 papers. Can't see from 3rd paper. I was expecting higher power with type-c (brighter). Outdated technology.

Great gift, my son chose this himself for his birthday present. He was super chuffed with it. Works well. Bought the flip book paper pack along side it. I little more pricey than the others available on Amazon. But quality is fab
