I have 2 of these incredible little lights! I absolutely love how mobile and flexible they are...and I can take them anywhere along with what I am currently reading. I am one of those who still enjoys an actual book in my hands...and this Vekkia light is perfect. It has a strong clip that clips right on the book, has a variety of lighting from dim to bright; and offers soft, amber tones or clear brighter tones. The neck can be adjusted easily as well as the two lights, which can be moved together or spread out to light up both sides of your book or reading material. Love how I can recharge it with the cord that is included. Each charge lasts a long time. This light is flexible, sturdy and well made & designed. Also reasonably priced!It is a great reading "companion" whether you are reading in normal day light...or a totally dark room without disturbing anyone. Highly recommend & would rate it much higher if I could!!! You won't be sorry with this gem of a purchase!Kathy K.

I've tried a lot of book lights, both battery and A/C powered, modified flashlights, etc. and this is the best so far because it nails two important features:1) It spreads the light over a relatively wide area2) It is dimmable to a relatively low levelMost reading lights, such as the popular "around the neck" kind and the common "small light on a gooseneck" kind (with the light source oriented perpendicular to the book pages) focus their light into a relatively small area. This creates a "hot spot" on the page with a lot of glare, surrounded by dimmer areas on the page extending out to the edge of the book. This uneven lighting is aggravating and produces eye fatigue, especially when reading against the backdrop of a dark room like one does while lying in bed at night. The glare issue is made worse by lights that are too bright and that cannot be adequately dimmed; I've tried using scotch tape or wax paper or a finger cot as a dimmer/diffuser with limited success.This Vekkia light has a wide light source oriented parallel to the page of the open book, thus the light is dispersed relatively evenly across the pages. Additionally, it can be dimmed to a lower level than other lights I have used. These features make for a more comfortable and enjoyable reading experience against the backdrop of a dark room. Selecting the amber color light option also enhances the experience.Another very useful feature is the base, which is large enough for the light to stand on. Clip on reading lights do not work well with magazines and some paperbacks, and the broad base allows this light to stand on my chest and illuminate the reading material when I am lying down.Drawbacks? Well, the plastic has kind of a cheap feel as though the light may not survive a fall to the floor, or that the buttons may not hold up to a lot of on-off cycles, and the battery is not replaceable so when it dies it will be time for a whole new light -- but every other dedicated book light I have tried suffers from the same issues. I also would prefer that once the desired light level is selected it would stay there when turning the light off and on; instead, one has to cycle through the levels to the desired setting every time the light is turned on.But all things considered, this little light is a winner!

I love the book light I received for Christmas. It is small but mighty. There are 5 light levels, a flexible neck to find the right area to light, and a big clip that holds onto the book perfectly with no slipping. It works on paperbacks as well as hardcover books and recharges using the enclosed cord. It is my favorite gift, now I can read while my husband sleeps. Terrific.

Love this light. Never have to worry about battery life, and it's light enough to clip onto most books while reading. Great to travel, too. It's very bright and helps me read without using reading glasses. I bought a few of them.

Very lightweight; works well even on paperbacks. Color of the bulb makes it easy on the eyes. Love the variable light & the versatility of the bulbs (narrow or wide coverage).

This is great!Pros:- The pages are clearly lit and easy to read.- The warm color is easy on the eyes in dark environment.- The light is concentrated and keeps the rest of my room dark.- 5 light levels from dim to bright.- Long charge life.Cons:- It works best with hardcover books where it can be clipped to the spine, paperback books are more difficult to use this with (but still manageable).- I thought you could switch between white and amber light with this model, but it only has amber light (which is preferable anyways).- While reading I have to adjust the clip every few pages because it slides.

Came charged or partially charged and I haven't had to charge it yet. It's nice and bright, flexible, and lightweight. (I was worried it would make my books too heavy to hold, but not at all). My spouse tried it and loved it so much we ordered a second one so we each have our own. Definitely suggest for anyone that likes to read!

Puts a lot of light exactly where I want it. The lights are adjustable to cover both sides or one side. It has 5 levels of brightness which is great. Grips on the book either hard cover or paperback. I’ve bought other book lights for more money and not happy. This is well worth the cost.

Well I got back into the habit of reading. Intend to read on my night shifts and being respectful to my coworker (who like lights dim) I’ve had to try and make it work.Whilst being on vacation at time I got into a nighttime ritual of bed time reading. Only problem was - unless I faced a certain way my bed table lamp didn’t accentuate the words enough to make out.So! I found this on Amazon.It is FANTASTIC. It lit it perfectly on the most modest light setting. I didn't even need to adjust the light (as it widens out if necessary).I would say it’s not heavy and suits well for a hard cover book. For a soft cover you may have to attach it to a hefty set of pages to balance it but lot a problem. On hard covers just at the back does it well.May get another for my aunt!Do recommend !

La verdad es que dudé mucho en realizar la compra, pero no me arrepiento por nada! Es una muy buena opción si como yo, les encanta leer por la noche antes de dormir, no cansa para nada la vista y lo mejor es que el brazo es super flexible, así que cuando sales de viaje es muy fácil de transportarla y continuar con tu lectura. 100% recomendada!

Ich liebe es zu lesen, aber habe manchmal besonders abends und im Herbst Probleme mit meiner lese Ecke. Da habe ich mir diese Lampe gekauft. Ich liebe sie. Hält lange, Klemme sitzt gut, das auf und zu machen ist klasse und das Akku hält sehr lange. Kauf Empfehlung auf jeden Fall. Es blendet auch nicht und hat verschiedene Stufen in der Helligkeit

La batería dura por siempre, lo he cargado 2 veces en varios meses de uso. La intensidad de la luz y temperatura perfecta, con muchas opciones dependiendo del contexto. Muy recomendado.
