Highly recommended for anyone looking for an effective tea for respiratory health!
My airways absolutely love this tea! To be honest, I have to admit that even without its healing properties, I’m addicted to the smell and taste. But the main reason I specifically searched for this tea is because of its healing benefits for my airways and respiratory system — it really works!

Your Gut Will Thank You!
For those who are into herbalism, this herb is classified as "medium toxicity", which means don't take loads of it for long periods of time or you could give yourself some problems. That said, this is a phenomenal root for resolving any and all stomach and intestine issues--including bleeding and chronic diarrhoea (with or w/o blood). This is one of my staple herbs, and I've had an opened (but sealed) bag sitting in my herb box for a very long time (perhaps a year??). Got it out today to address hubby's chronic diarrhoea w/ bleeding issue. (Btw, you can also shore up diarrhoea with the less toxic Knotgrass herb--3 cups daily. Just realise these herbs are diuretics, meaning you'll be needing the toilet more often as your body expels excess fluid.) I was using Knotgrass with hubby but the diuretic action wasn't working for him at his job, where toilet runs aren't always possible when you need them. So I switched to using Calamus root on it's own. Whenever you use a medium toxicity herb alone, you need to respect the toxic issue more (when used in appropriate combinations, herbs can neutralise each other's harmful agents, so toxicity is less of a concern. If I'm worrying anyone--just add liquorice root! Liquorice is a great toxin neutraliser). I'm using 1 level tsp of this Calamus root with 1 cup of cold water. Steep overnight in the fridge. This gently draws out the medicinal properties of the herb, including it's mucilage (slimy aspects). This quantity makes 6 doses. Basically take one hearty mouthful directly before and after each of your three main meals. So easy, and the taste is quite manageable. This herb corrects acid problems (both too low or too high). It also astringes (shrinks/tightens) tissues, which is why it helps stop bleeding. By steeping overnight, you get it to be nice and potent. By limiting to just 1 tsp of herb a day, you avoid too much toxicity. This approach will be much more manageable for my hubby to take. With herbs, there are many ways to accomplish the same thing.Regarding this supplier: 5 stars. Although I'd stored their product a very long time, it was still excellent, as proven by the way it steeped. No unwelcome critters, no spoilage. Fantastic. Herbs should be stored in cool, dark places. My storage system isn't perfect at either of those, but this product still weathered well. Would definitely buy from this supplier again.

Healthy Option
This item arrived in time and was well packaged. It is meant to offer many health benefits, especially for the chest issues. I realised that the taste was rather mild, not a notable flavour as i drank it, but it was pleasant. Let's see how it goes.

Lots of stalks
A little disappointed with all the stalks and plant debris in the tea

Good to smoke as an alternative to tobacco
it’s about the best product to smoke I’ve tried. Obviously it’s meant to be used to make tea so it’s quite course when rolling to make a cigarette, but I use a grinder to make it finer . It’s a very mellow smoke no harshness, ideal substitute for tobacco, and a lot cheaper than tobacco. I’ve smoked it regularly for a year, I’ve tried other products but for me the best .

Flipping Brilliant!
I really am very seriously impressed with this tea, it’s incredible!I’ve been drinking about 4 cups a day for the past week and the effect it’s having on my chest are unbelievable! I’ve been asthmatic for 40 years and have been on many different medications and inhalers to help ease it with only borderline success. Well I can tell you that this tea has done something for my asthma that none of those medications have ever done, not even my steroid inhalers or reliever inhalers! This tea has been steadily clearing my lungs out of all the mucous and gunk that sits inside them, most notably in the morning as that’s when it’s hardest for me to clear it and take a deep breath! But by drinking this tea every, day my mornings are far less stressful as I can cough up with ease what’s been settling inside overnight and I can take good lungfuls of air and breath deeply! On top of that it’s been clearing my nose out too and that’s been restricted for years but not any more!I was hugely impressed by the speed of delivery and the price but what was truly impressive was the company’s customer connection! They sent me a lovely little message telling me how to get the best out of the tea and also told me that I could use the leaves a second time......way to go, I shall definitely be buying again. Thank you!
