I like the rich taste of this Thai Chili Paste.

This is Thai chili paste. For those who aren't familiar with this, the main flavor comes from fermented shrimp; it has a sea-foody funk and depth of flavor more comparable to fish sauce than "hot" sauce. It adds a complexity to certain Thai dishes that really takes them to the next level. I love it. Your mileage may vary. If you cook Thai, you should probably try it.

I do a lot of cooking and this is my go to for any type of stirfry or soup broth. You can use it for just about everything

difficult to find in a lot of asian grocery stores, even in Seattle. I bought this twice so far and use consistently in rice dishes.

I needed naam phrik pao (Thai chili paste) for a recipe and couldn't find it for sale locally. I was a little worried about the jar breaking in shipment, but as you can see from the photo it was packed very well. There was no leakage or breakage, and the flavor is very unique so I am glad I ordered this item from Amazon, as I don't think anything else could substitute for it well in a recipe. Don't hesitate and order it if you need naam phrik pao.
