Easy to use

Great little printer. It's cute, prints well and is very portable. The only downside is Bluetooth sometimes has a lot of trouble connecting to my phone, which doesn't happen with other devices. I've followed the troubleshooting instructions on the manufacturer's website and I usually have to restart my phone and the B21 printer to get them to connect. They eventually connect, but it's kinda annoying.

the label maker's functionality was not up to par. The print quality of the labels was inconsistent, with some labels coming out blurry or faded and again The bluetooth connectivity was unreliable. The label maker frequently disconnected from my device, causing interruptions in my labeling tasks and necessitating repeated reconnection attempts.

I'm not sure why the product description doesn't scream that this is the NIIMBOT B21 label printer as Niimbot is quickly gaining popularity and recognition for creating compact, affordable, and versatile label printers.As stated, this is the NIIMBOT B21, and like its namesake, this is the heavy bomber of the NIIMBOT line. Using a larger format roll, the B21 is great for printing labels that need more information - barcodes, ingredients, to do lists, graphics, or just larger print. This little thermal printer can handle it. And speaking of which, for those unfamiliar with the NIIMBOT printers, they have a thermal print head that transfers your print to a reactive label so you never need separate ink cartridges - just the printer and the labels.Functionally, this printer is fantastic - everything you'd expect from the NIIMBOT line. I did notice that the B21 includes a self-adjusting motor to get your labels properly aligned from the start - an improvement over other models where you often need to burn the first label of the roll to get the adjustment right. The printer connects flawlessly to the **FREE** NIIMBOT app. I've noticed other reviews mention the app requires a subscription, but I can assure you this is NOT the case. I've been using the app for a few years now and it has always been free - which is surprising because it is feature rich. The associated NIIMBOT app will allow you to fully customize your labels - text, graphics, bar codes, fonts - it's all there and easy to use. One of the features I really like is that the app will recognize the size and format of the labels you're using as soon as you load them in the printer. You'll never have to worry about selecting the wrong sized template because the app and printer do the work for you. You can also save templates in the app that can be loaded when you insert the proper label making it super easy to swap between label types and quickly print or reprint your labels. As an owner of multiple NIIMBOT printers, the last thing I'll say about the app is that it flawlessly supports and recognizes the different printer models I own - just open the app, turn on the printer, and you get the sweet connection chime. It really couldn't be easier.Visually, this printer is a break from the utilitarian design of NIIMBOT's other models. It has a sleek, retro feel that is well executed throughout the entire device. The casing is a beautiful high gloss that looks molded and polished, rather than painted. The gold appointments and fine details of the front grill add a level of quality and interest that will make you want to keep this printer out on display. With a single button push, it turns on and is ready to use, while changing the labels can be easily accomplished by pressing the side lever to pop-open the lid. It's like a baby accounting machine from the 1940's.The B21 is specifically intended for larger labels and therefore does not offer the flexibility in format that the NIIMBOT D101 can provide, but again, this is the heavy bomber. Looking online, it's easy to find a variety of larger format labels for this printer - from the utilitarian to the decorative and everything inbetween. I've always liked that the label rolls are inexpensive and offer some innovative varieties beyond just white or clear strips.Simply put, the B21 does not disappoint. It's a fantastic little label maker that you'll be happy to keep on your desk.

The media could not be loaded. This is one of the cutest little label makers ever! Not only is it super adorable and makes for a gorgeous decoration for the desk, but it also performs really well. It comes with a little user guide that has the link for their app on the last page and the app is all you really need. As soon as I opened the app I was shown a comprehensive, well-made video guide on everything I needed to know about using this baby. It connects to the app super effectively! I never even had to go to my Bluetooth settings to connect to it. I also turned the printer on and off a few times and every time I went to the app and the label maker was on it immediately connected within seconds on its own. The app itself runs well and I had no issues with it. However, you do have to make an account on it with an email if you want to save the design you made; I don't have an issue with it, but I can see it being annoying for some users. I printed some testers and I'm very happy with the results. I do think some might find the price of $65.99 for a little label printer a bit too steep, but honestly, if you're getting this specific one you're not getting it for utility alone. It works really well but it's the beautiful retro look and quality that sets this one apart.
