Works like it says
It does work, the UV detector is a great asset to anyone who keeps anything that requires UVB including reptiles. I used it to find out that none of the reptile bulbs I have emit UVB but my saltwater light that has a UV setting does emit UVB.The temperature side is nice as well it was cool to watch it change colors quickly and accurate according to the reptile thermometer I already use. A good purchase in my book.

Had to hold at the light. Disappointed
I read the directions and it said to hold at the basking platform and when I did that it changed a minuet amount of color. I just purchased a new Arcadia T5 linear bulb, just 2 weeks ago. Then I tried it on my other bearded dragons T5 bulb that was 3 months old. It did the same thing. I had to hold it just under the light about an inch away for it to change colors. If that was the way that I was supposed to do it, then I apologize. But I don’t think that is the case. I’m going to purchase the reticle 6.2 or 6.5 uvb meter soon anyways .

Do not work
Got no reading from my bulbs. Bought a solarmeter and found I had uvb,not as much as I wanted 1.8 at 2 inches, the card registered nothing. Spend the $200 plus and really know your uvb.

Not effective, no color change.
Not effective, no color change. Does not change color for UV detection. Only good for temperature card. Both card does the same. Another brand would pickup a light purple, 2 inches away.

junk
The UVB "meter" does not work and the lcd thermometer numbers are not accurate and are hard to read. Go with a digital UVB gauge if you are serious.

Does NOT test for UVB
