Absolutely the EASIEST printer set up EVER !
I took this printer out of the box, plugged the power cord it into the wall, plugged the USB cable into the printer and computer, turned on the printer, set English and USA on the panel. That's it. I brought up a recipe file and printed it. I have an iMAC M4 running Sequoia. Evidently the driver was already in the computer. Fast, beautiful printing.

Looked new to me
This printer was sold as an open box unit. Possibly a return. However, it arrived in the original box from the factory and showed no signs of being used. It is a good printer and accepts aftermarket toner cartridges, which keeps the cost to run it lower.

This product does not have WiFi, so I hooked it up via my computers WiFi and it still did not work. Tried to call everyone but I didn’t get ahold of the right person, so I sent it back before the deadline. Glenn Rigdon

GREAT Printer
I've put off writing this review because I'm ambivalent about this printer. I've used and recommended HP Printers since I used my first LJ4 at work back in the 90s. I liked it so much I bought one for my home and replaced it with with a LJPM401dne that got replaced with this LJP4001dn. Not bad for 30 years! This is a great printer, it's quiet, fast and outputs great quality product. But, the software leaves a heck of a lot to be desired. It's overly complex and convoluted. I needed to spend 1½ on the phone with a tech to sort things out, and now I need to run the printer with two drivers depending on what I'm printing. I have also bought the optional 550-Sheet Feeder Tray, that sometimes has trouble picking up paper. BTW, I'm on a Macintosh Pro👍🏻 But, do I want another printer - Not On Your Life👍🏻

Super Easy Set Up
I can count on HP to deliver a great product at a reasonable price. If this one lasts as long as my last HP Laser Jet, I'll be happy! Easy set up with on-screen instructions. The only adjustment I made was turning off the manual dual side printing.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! -- Failed after 6 months.
DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!! Product less than 8 months old. Constantly jams. Won't print. Tried calling HP support but can't get through. What a joke!

The simple life, but high-quality.
This thing does not connect to Wi-Fi. But I’m so freaking tired of printers that do having major IT issues. I bought a Wi-Fi extender that has an ethernet plug-in. And then I bought an ethernet cable to plug this printer into my Wi-Fi extender. Now my life is simple with no stress. This thing Print so easy from every device in the house, including my iPhone. The best purchase ever.
