Great replacement for a Tivo Bolt fan
The fan in my Tivo Bolt failed and was making horrible noises. A couple of posts recommended this fan as a replacement. It was easy to replace and snapped right into the bracket in the Tivo Bolt. Although it’s a 3-wire connector on the new fan and the old one was a 2-wire connector, a little bit of testing was all that was needed to figure out orientation and which 2 pins were needed to power the fan. The new fan runs much quieter than the old fan and actually seems to move more air, keeping the Tivo cooler. Very satisfied so far.

Good quiet fan.
There are two ways to get quietness in fans. One, slow down the RPMs, and two, to increase the size of the blade span. This uses both techniques to perfection. It is still spinning enough RPMs to move air and the larger blades assist in moving the slower generated air. Simply put, it's a good fan and is quiet enough to be unobtrusive.

Great Tivo Bolt Fan Upgrade to Reduce Noise
Like the previous poster, I used this to replace my tivo bolt fan. The old fan whistled in my bedroom and drove me crazy. Before you read the rest of this, I would say that if you have any issues w noise on your bolt, do this. Its a fantastic fix. However, it doesnt fit with the same holes, so you really cannot use the stock screws to remount it, but i just used four dots from a glue-gun and it worked just fine. The geometry was exactly the right size for the mounting enclosure. The connection is not quite perfect either. The new fan has a two-prong clip, and the original was three prongs, so i just experimented for 5 seconds on which were the correct ones to use and it worked just fine. No wire clippers or solder needed. If you have ever taken apart any electronic devices, this will be a breeze, especially with no soldering or cutting.Highly recommended. Too bad tivo didnt use these from the start.

Starting making rattling sound within one day
Not much to say here, the fan was installed correctly and sounded very quiet, and performed well, for the first day. By the second day a ratting/scrapping sound began in the fan. I confirmed no cables or anything were physically hitting the fan, and even unmounted it to allow it to run held in the air. The noise was within the ball bearing or motor. I'll be going with a different brand

So far, so good
I just completed installation into my TiVo Bolt, which went smoothly. Use an exacto to remove the foam mount for the antenna that attaches to fan, then re affix with a drop of glue. The fan is nearly inaudible compared to the one it replaces. Looking at the current JMC fan specs for the TiVo supplied fan (which are not the exact part number, but you can infer from current draw), this one is nearly the same RPM and CFM or perhaps a tiny bit better. Hopefully there will be no cooling problems. I would recommend this device, but time will tell - I will update if there are issues later on.

Your mileage may vary.
Does the job I bought it for, but it runs near it's max rpm almost exclusively and I can find no opt cpu fan settings in the bios of my Asus Maximus Hero X motherboard for changing the fan curve. Started to make a rattling whine after a few weeks. I went to have a look and found no blades or wires making contact with anything else, so it's probably the barring wearing out since I run my system for longer periods then most. Maybe it is not the fault of Noiseblocker that the Motherboard isn't reading the fan from the header, but the fast wear down on those barrings is a worry for me. I'm not sure who's at fault, but that rattling whine is not what I want to be hearing coming out of my case. To be fair, the whine usually subsists after about 5 minutes from boot, so at the moment it's only a minor annoyance. The first time I heard the whine I thought the problem was in another more expensive component and was very worried, so false alarm, but if this fan is causing vibrations or anything I'll need to replace it. Gonna have to say let the buyer beware; your mileage may vary.

Works better while keeping quiet
I used it to replace the stock fan in my TiVoBolt. I had purchased it the same time I ordered the TiVoBolt because I had heard that the stock fan was loud. When I received my TiVoBolt the fan wasn't loud at all (i.e. I couldn't really even hear it from more than a foot away), but it wasn't doing a very good job of cooling the system. After replacing the fan with the NB XS-2, the ODT (On Die Temperature) went down from 72C to 62C with the fan staying, as far as I can tell, completely silent.

Ottima e silenziosa.

Bad..
Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this fan. While installing the screws were damaging the screwthread. This caused one of them to crack the entire housing. I got this fixed using my plastic soldering kit. I installed the fan but after 3-4 day it started making a lot of noise. (I am not buying a noise blocking fan for that right?). A couple of days after that it stopped working completely. I binned it and bought a Noctua Fan that is running effortless, noiseless for the past 6 weeks.
