These P90-voiced pickups are excellent. I bought the pair since they were very affordable, but only intended to use the neck pickup with my SG. I'm the original owner of this '02 Gibson SG Special, and I've always thought its neck pickup sounded muddy. This replacement sounds great, and feels much more articulate with everything except heavy fuzz pedals like the EHX Big Muff. Installation was very easy and the pickups appear to be well built. I did notice that the screws it comes with were slightly tight mounting into the original pickguard, which was only a minor obstacle. The pickups fit in the humbucker routing cavity just fine and there's just enough length in the wiring to reach the solder points without issue. I'm less familiar with the P90 sound, so I can't speak to how authentically these pickups recreate it, however they work well and sound great to my ears. I've attached a brief video demo'ing clean, overdrive, and fuzz tones through a clean amp.

use them all the time to play blacksabbath. Excellent quality and quiet as well. I am sure some nitpicker will find better pickups for 200 bucks, but they suit me fine

Awesome pickups! They fit well, have a nice classic p90 glassy, clear tone that can break up beautifully with drive! I would recommend getting better leads however the pickups themselves rival some of the “higher end” pickups I’ve played.

Color me surprised! I bought one of these for the bridge position of my Strat, expecting to learn some hard lessons about buying cheap. What I got instead was excellent P90 grit and tone! It is a bit brighter than your average P90, but that works out in your favor in something like a Stratocaster. As an added bonus, they are wound in-phase with Fender humbuckers, so no need to fiddle with wiring, and the blend between my Player II humbucker and the P90 is GORGEOUS. They're a drop-in replacement for your average covered HB, so size is not an issue. It looks exactly as pictured; the black plastic on the front is a bit shiny and old school-looking, but that's kind of the point with P90s, ain't it?! Do yourself a favor before emptying out your wallet and waiting a month for some Fralins, and have one of these workhorses show up tomorrow!

Absolutely incredible. Went from SD 59 custom hybrid in the bridge to one of these p90 humbuckers. I also own SD P90 phat kats, this amazon one performs outstandingly in most of the areas the phat kat does, and in its own ways too. Definitely do not pass up this cheap option for an upgrade. May just be so pleased because it's more of the sound im looking for, but I am very happy with my purchase.

Cannot believe how good these sound. Almost unbelievable. Done buying expensive pickups. Without a doubt a p90 in its final form lol. Full, loud, bright, Tubey almost in the neck position and the weirdest part is how quiet they are for single coils. Not to mention they look great.

I bought this as a "P90" pickup to replace the cheap pickups in my headless guitar kit. I love how the guitar turned out and playas but was not wild over the pickups. I've always liked how P90 pickups sound and have never had one myself so thought I would go for that for the neck position. I love it. I know it is not a real P90 and is made to fit a humbucker cutout so not wound exactly the same. That said it provides the sound I hoped for. Rich smooth tone somewhere between a humbucker and single coil. I love the richness on clean tones and I'm surprised how good it sounds with distorted tones which is bonus (mainly bought thins with clean tones in mind). Appears to be well built, installed easy and sounds great. Also VERY low noise. Very happy.

Fast delivery, packaged great no damage . I have a wall full of great guitars single coils , humbuckers hot to PAF needed new tone something in between , found this set on amazon kept reading reviews all good , ordered arrived installed and bam!!!! Wow for the money you cant go wrong both just over 6k ohms yeh!!! P90 tone tells the story with a bit of breakup and cranked . Also these didnt squeal when tested on high gain ( depends on the player preference . bottom line great seller great pups 10 star if i could cheers . ACBguitarZ

I gave these a try and see if I was gonna like p90 style pickups. I was surprised that they sounded great. Seem to be made of quality material. I normally like single coil pickups in my strats, but wanted to try something different and glad I did.

They sound pretty close to the gibson p94 only a little brighter. Can't be beat for ths price!

J'avais une belle grosse guitare De Armond sur laquelle j'ai essayé plusieurs micros (pickup) HH, mais je n'ai jamais vraiment aimé le son. Grâce à ceux-ci (LAMSAM P90), ma guitare est devenue vraiment agréable à jouer. Je suis plus que satisfait. Vraiment surprenant pour le prix !
