This book is the best on it's purpose! It opens the readers mind to the logic behing this particals. A must one.

I didn't buy this book. I read some part through Google. At first this book seemed really good, but later it got painful to read. For example, the following. What does "groups of people that are part of a collective noun" mean? AT THE BACK OF normally designates a position at the rear part of something such as groups of people that are part of a collective noun, or things that are inside or outside a place

(This is my review from reading half of the free sample) The first thing I notice in this book is that the author talks in a very "formal" way. I didn't mind that at first because the more I read the book, the more I realize how thorough it is. I actually learn a lot! But the more I get further, the more his writing style AGGRAVATES me! There are LOTS of redundancy! He also likes using "big words": I have to check the dictionary so many times before I get through in many paragraphs. And it annoys me whenever I figure out the words he's using is simple enough he doesn't even need to use it at all. I'm not sure if he is trying to prove something by flaunting his "vast vocabulary" and his overly formal "style." I sometimes feel I'm talking to a machine... The book is thorough, but it's just painful and hard to read! (forget about having fun!) I've read the top two books in grammar here in Amazon,(The Only Book You'll Ever Need & The Blue Book) so I know that grammar could be explain thoroughly in a simple, direct, and enjoyable manner. I put "1 star" because I think books that I can't read are USELESS! To the Author: Please re-write your book and make it simple, direct, and preferably fun. Make it easy enough to read please, thank you.

Me gustó por su enfoque lógico del tema; a veces puede parecer complicado, pero el tema no es fácil de abordar en unas pocas palabras, dada la importancia de las preposiciones en el idioma inglés.

Il libro ha soddisfatto le mie aspettative. Tratta le preposizioni dai significati più elementari sino a quelli più articolati, con esempi e immagini esaustive.

This is an excellent book for those who want to perfect their English. Explanations are accompanied by plenty of examples and illustrations, and are a lot more thorough than those I found in general grammar books. Each chapter has a few exercises so the student can practise. In my opinion, a separate exercise book to go with it might have been more beneficial.

I have been looking for books addressing the prepositions to ESL for years. This book is the best.

Great book
