I was contracted to reproduce a carved piece of crown moulding. When I took the job I didn't know how I was going to make it. Last resort, I could hand carve it. There was 30 feet and that would have taken me weeks to carve. I bought the EinScan and tried it for the first time. It was easy to set up. The software is incredible. After scanning, I wrote a program for my CNC. It did such a nice job that I only had to touch up each piece. The project only took one week. Can't wait to try my next project.

We need to digitize our accessory products in our warehouse. This SE scanner actually did what we need for. Although it requires spraying at black or shiny objects, it still meets our accuracy requirements and works for our modeling project.

So it's a great and easy to use 3d scanner for parts that meet minimum, but once you go larger it becomes a bit tedious. I'll give it to the end of the next week, but will likely upgrade to hand held model. Both models also seem to have problems with mate black parts that are all but invisible to the scanners, but some color table or even color shrink wrap helps bandaid that problem.From what I've seen also this far you will need to calibrate the setup each time you move the base or scanner. I recommend you setup in an armoire or a small tent enclosure as too much natural light will also kill this and the similarly its $2k better sibling as both utilize a light pattern recognition software of some type. The hand held models seem to be laser based and therefore much more versatile.Otherwise it's a good product that most could use sparingly and relatively easily. If your considering it I would go the next model up which I will likely just skip, as the extra fine details are lost due to it resolution. It would great for a school learning tool though and give props to the developers.As a note, though the next model up should include a bit more optional features for the cost. The jump in resolution and quality of the assembly in my opinion dont make up for the delta in cost.

Good value desktop scanner! This is the best scanner I have found in terms of value. Included software works great. The accuracy is excellent for the price and its not an eyesore on my desk. Their support team answered my questions whenever I need help. Great job guys!

I rarely write negative reviews however I am extremely disappointed in my experience with this seller. There are a couple other companies that offer this item cheaper however I decided to go with the 3D UMAX because they had mostly positive reviews.The scanner did arrive on time, however upon opening it I discovered three small black hairs in the styrofoam packaging. It made me wonder if the package may have been previously opened. Not the end of the world but I did make a mental note considering it should have been manufactured and packaged in a clean facility and inspected prior to sealing the box.It took about 20 minutes to calibrate and set up the scanner and the instructions were fairly easy to read. I was able to get some good scans but noticed the lighting had to be just right and it didn’t do well with shiny or glass objects. After 2 days of using it I started experiencing issues with the scanner suddenly turning off. I tried a different computer, reloaded the software then did some troubleshooting online however it didn’t fix the problem so I decided to reach out to the seller “3D UMAX”. I sent them two emails and still haven’t heard back. This is extremely disappointing considering how much this item cost. I could’ve lived with the hair in the packaging but not responding to a customer with basic questions is not acceptable. I looked at some of the reviews on other items they had for sale and saw similar complaints so I’m not the only one.I have decided to return the item and purchase one elsewhere.

I was hesitant to buy a open box item but i a glad i did. The unit was brand new and work better then i expected. Once i figured out how to use it i was surprised on how easy and good it works.

This 3d printinter really help me to recover many small parts which we don't have their drawings anymore.

I’m very disappointed this item did not work. I received a software error code during install, so I decided to try another computer. Same thing! I will be returning.
