One of my biggest fears has always been speaking in public. If you put me in a group of people or one-on-one and I usually do fine. The problem is when I get asked to get on a stage or in front of a class. I think the big problem I have is that I just start to ramble. When I ramble I get nervous and confused and go off on a tangent. Like the reviews before me, I have used the points in this book to streamline my speeches and my instructions. Going into a presentation I also feel like I have a set-out path - a beginning and end, so if I go off tangent, I always know how to bring it home.I recommend this book to anyone who isn't comfortable speaking. It gives you great information that you can apply in any situation. I have to say I liked this book so much, I have a hard copy for my office at home and a digital copy on my kindle to use as a reference when needed.

As someone who talks too much, this book reminds me that I need to ensure the point is made!

The book was good and just what I needed. I highly recommend it , even though personally I thought the examples weighed too heavily towards the political left.

I was in the process of attempting to write some webpage copy and a few speeches, while I had some good copy, it was not coming together. Enter this resource! After pouring through the book and completing the exercises, I learned how to sharpen my main point. The nudge to go from cheerleading to championing my point was especially helpful. I just ordered 10 more copies to pass out to my leadership team.

This book was easy to follow and understand. The points were super clear!! Order this book if you want to improve your ability to communicate professionally and personally.

To the point information. Joel delivers a semester class in 100 easy to understand pages. I believe this was the most informative book I’ve read this year to make successful education presentations.
