ADHD an A-Z: Figuring it Out Step by Step

Incredible book
Someone mentioned to me recently they thought I had ADHD. I’d never really considered it before but it made me look into it and what I started to read was quite eye opening. I am 37. It explained so much about why life just felt like a constant struggle. I bought this book and it’s absolutely perfect to help understand what it is and it’s impacts but also such useful advice too. I love the A-Z format because it means you can dip in and out of the areas you want to read. I scanned the whole thing to start with and it’s just all completely like it was written about me. Would highly recommend this book to anyone who has been told they seem a bit ‘ADHD’.

Really good book!
A clear, up-to-date and very good book (compared to some of the other's I've read on the topic, which read like dry medical papers, often very out of date or don't offer much actual practical help for adults.)It's an excellent, practical guide. I actually wanted to read on!Leanne has put so much care and attention into this book, and it shows. Even the layout, typeface and line spacing makes a nice reading experience. (Ever get that thing where you read the same paragraph 5 times, eyes jumping around the page, not taking it in? Not with this book!)Everyone will gain something from this book. Even if it's just "How to write text which is actually pleasant to read, especially for people with ADHD!"

This is eaaaaaasily one of the best pieces of individual literature that I’ve read on ADHD
The sections are filled with amazingly candid lived experiences and great solutions, I’ve taken some on board and they’ve made me far less impulsive eg. Removing certain tempting apps like places to do impulsive shopping. The sections are so easy to navigate and some resonated massively with me and they made me want to share the content with friends and family as they were articulated better than I could ever explain. Some of the content was brand new to me but felt very easy to connect with thanks to the anecdotes.I’ve already recommended it to others and I’ll probably return to it if I need any clarity.100% recommended especially to those that were diagnosed with ADHD later in life as this brings it all together so well.I can’t usually finish books due to my attention span and time blindness (I often think I need to finish a book in a day or two for it to work for me) but I flew through this.I’ve listened to a lot of self help books on Audible that have only had a percentage of relevant information, this has an abundance of relevant, specific information to ADHDers and those wanting to learn about it.It was awesome hearing @leannemaskell (@adhdworks) talk about it @weareunmasked IRL too, I’ve always loved writing and never thought I’d have the capacity to write a book but consider me inspired!Fully sold on ADHD Coaching too, looking forward to going through the process of being coached and then hopefully becoming a coach myself.⚠️ Warning: some parts hit hard so be prepared!

Incredible - everyone needs this book
This is the book I’ve been looking for! I love the way I can dip in and out; it’s helped me explain to my family, friends and work colleagues how things affect me, and also really really good ideas on how I can help myself and enable others to understand me.It’s really well written, easy to understand and I would say please buy it! For anyone with ADHD, think they could have ADHD or knows anyone who might have it!Thank you Leanne for writing this much needed book

If you think you are ADHD this book is for you.
Leanne Maskell's book An A-Z to ADHD figuring it out is brilliant, because it has been written by someone who is ADHD and explains how it is perfectly for someone living with ADHD. If you suspect yourself, your child or you have just been diagnosed then this is the book for you. I would also suggest this book for professionals to give you more understanding on a personal level rather than just the medical side to ADHD, as there is so much more to ADHD than just the common traits people know off.If like myself you struggle to read a book cover to cover then this is definitely for you, as you can just pick this book up and go to any page and read, you really do not need to start at the beginning. It's an easy read and informative. This has to be the best book I have read in regards to ADHD. It is a must have for anyone out there who thinks they might be ADHD. This for me is the ADHD bible.

A Positive Outlook
A refreshingly positive outlook as compared to other books I have read and felt ‘doomed’ after reading!I love the way this is broken down and also the way she celebrates what ADHDers are good at, not just focusing on the negatives. There are simple exercises that I have already found helpful and sharing her own experiences was insightful. A must read for ADHDers and their families.

Great, informative and accessible book
What a fantastic resource! Leanne has taken a subject that can feel hugely overwhelming and broken it down to into bite-sized chunks, packed with an immensely helpful blend of research summaries, personal anecdotes and practical tips and exercises. It's like having a caring friend walk alongside you as you navigate the highs and lows of making sense of what you and/or those around you are experiencing. Hugely accessible, engaging, practical and uplifting. Would highly recommend to anyone diagnosed with or exploring whether they or others close to them may have ADHD.

ADHD required reading
This book is not a book, it's a guide to a hidden world broken into sections for each area that you struggle with when you think might have ADHD.I've finished this book cover to cover but I'll be referencing it over and over as challenges come up in my life. This frank, honest, and open description by the author of their life with ADHD gives me hope not only for my future but others as well.Highly recommend if you have, think you have, or know someone with ADHD to get an idea of a worldview from someone with a different lens.

A revelation!
I purchased this book to better understand my ADHD daughter. I’m only part of the way through and it has been a complete revelation! So much of her childhood now makes complete sense to me! I’m sending her a copy now too instead of waiting to send her mine. Thank you Leanne for writing this book!

A Must-Read for anyone who is or suspects they are ADHD
This book is truly essential for all to read. Whether you have or suspect you have ADHD, this book is for you! If you’re someone wanting to learn more as a health professional, a caregiver to someone with ADHD, etc then i would also highly recommend this book as a valuable resource to learn from. Leanne, who is ADHD herself, wrote this book in a format that allows the reader to choose the chapters that apply to you and/or that you want to read about. There are plenty of personal experiences and literature citations mixed with writing prompts, reflections, and other activities that truly engage the reader in a unique way. This is a MUST-READ!

Amazing!
This book is amazing. I recognise myself on every page. This book has useful exercises, and because it's written by an Adhd-er and for people with adhd, they're actually doable! Seriously recommend this book.

A must read for newly disagnosed people
I've only just recently been diagnosed at 29 and bought this book on a total whim. Even as one of the lucky few to now have access to medication and therapy, books like this are such important tools, learning some things about myself I didn't know. The text is also nice and large, in an ADHD friendly format and the book can be picked up and read at any point, which really helps with wandering minds! :)

Such detailed insights for anyone affected by ADHD
The A to A format is so pleasing to see an actual chapter for every letter in the alphabet. Great insights and encouragement. I was crying from the first chapter. So real. Highly recommend for anyone affected by ADHD, whether for yourself or to help understand someone with ADHD.
