Works great, like the voltage display

As the title states, my only "complaint" with this adapter is the lack of a USB charging port. Considering that it is a travel adapter designed to plug into the 12V port in your vehicle, it was poor design to omit a USB power port. Logic would seem to indicate that a person with a Surface laptop requiring a vehicle charger would also have other devices, like a phone, that also require charging. With this adapter occupying the 12V port, I cannot have my typical phone charger plugged in at the same time. My Surface only has a single USB port on the tablet, so I have to use that if I need to charge my phone while the Surface is charging. The original brick charger I own has the USB port, and other travel chargers I have used for the Surface also included an extra USB port. Why this one didn't is a mystery. Aside from that gripe, I can't complain about the charger. It works fine, seems to hold to the Surface charging port as well as other chargers, and I haven't had power issues with it. I also appreciate the design option to locate the voltage adapter circuitry separate from the 12V plug (cigarette lighter plug), as this keeps the area around the 12V port unobstructed. I also like the digital display, as I is a quick-glance verification that the adapter is functioning, Both of these 'features' were absent from all other adapters I've used over the years. Add that USB port and I'd happily give a glowing review.

worked great for 6 months then stopped responding when plugged in. Still shows power to display but will not charge my surface pro 8 whatsoever
