Q: Why it says in the main description thst the device is wireless, what cable required?

It is wireless and connected to your router. However you have to have it powered up and it is via a USB cable to the electric using the enclosed power plug so you need to have a power socket near by

Q: Will this camera work without Wi Fi? I.e. it will record footage directly on the SD card for us to review as a later date?

I believe it does. It is not a definite yes. There was a point, where I was having trouble connecting to the camera because of network issues. One day it reconnected and it turns out it was recording footage in that time period. You still need a network to setup the camera and review the footage. I wouldn't recommend repeatedly removing the SD card either.

Q: Is this camera completely wireless as i can see wires? it says wireless battery and solar panel. i want to buy but hesitant because of what i can see

It has a 3mtr cable that pugs in a 240 volt socket, wireless simply means it doesn’t need to be hard wired to the router. I love the camera it’s brilliant

Q: Does this rotate from side to side when on wall

Yes, it moves up ,down and side to side. When it detects movement the camera will follow that movement. You can also set it so the light comes on and even an alarm. Highly recommended.
