Small tub but good food grade product
Very happy with size for the price. I'm making my own version of Andrews Liver salts as it no longer on the market and grains are very small but I ground down to make a fine powder. Good value as well.

Good value
For some obscure reason, oral quality Epson salts are unobtainable in pharmacies. I have used this product only once, however I find it easy to use, more palatable then previouse brands. So, far better value, excellent delivery, as expected from Amazon.

It Never Fails As A Laxative
I've always got a pot of this in the back of my cupboard. I use this very occasionally as a gentle laxative and as the very last resort, it never ever fails me. Over the years I've gotten to know exactly how much I need to use at that particular time to achieve the desired results. If you have never tried this before take it easy and never ever take more than one level tablespoon (For VERY severe constipation ONLY) or you will be sorry for sure. Mix well in a small juice sized glass of water until it is completely dissolved and then just keep drinking until its all gone. It tastes absolutely foul so I always have a jar of peanut butter open and ready with a teaspoon stuck in it, just make sure you've got something to grab quick to take the taste away. Don't be surprised if it takes a few hours to work or when the first visit to the loo is normal, trust me, it wont stay that way so don't be tempted to pass wind or take more salts, just drink loads of water very regularly because the powders are still working inside you and you need to keep adding water to make sure you don't get dehydrated. Carry on eating as normal, it will definitely help move things along. Like I said, this works very gently so if you get stomach pains you've overdone it, there should be nowt more than rumbles going on.

Drink at least another half litre of water in the next few hours. It mainly acts as a laxative (can cause diarrhea for some people) and to replace magnesium. I would suggest myself it's safer to limit intake to only 1 or max of 2 level teaspoons a day, I use it as I find it eliminates the cramps I used to get after vigorous exercise, and also helps keep bowels regular. If you have kidney problems it may not be a good idea to take it. I have 1 healthy kidney & 1 virtually non functioning kidney, and have had no problems, but I only take about half a teasp 3 or 4 times a week. Please be careful, I suggest you get advice from your doctor to confirm it is ok for you. There are many claims on the internet about the things Epsom |Salts can 'cure' which i think are probably exaggerated or unproven, but it definitely has eliminated my painful leg cramps. If you want to replace magnesium by dietary means, you can find a good amount in avacados, black beans etc... or you can buy bottles of magnesium oil or sprays. Alternatively Epsom salts (about 1 or 2 cupfuls) can also be added to baths, to help relieve aches and pains (arthritis or minor injuries).I find this does help ease mu painful joints. My mother who lived to over 100 often drank small amounts or used in her baths and found it helped arthritic pains."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Can this be diluted with water and be drunk","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Yes but it's really bitter...\nI tried more than once and now I cannot drink it anymore, it makes me sick...
