I've been on the prowl for a knife sharpener for a while now and have always held back, for various reasons, price, a bad review, where the item hailed from, size etc. Then I watched a video on the Block Sharpener and most of my concerns were or seemed to be addressed so I took a chance. I have been rewarded. This nifty little device is everything I wanted, made in America, well reviewed, simple, inexpensive, compact and most of all effective. It does take a little time to truly master but chalk that up to sweat equity if you want. Once you master this little jem you'll end up sharpening every blade in your house whether it really needs it or not, next will come singing the praises of your prize to any and all who'll hold still long enough to let you blabber on about it. In two short words...BUY ONE, in three words...BUY ONE...TODAY. I can't say more than that.

This sharpener works well when used correctly just like any other tool. There are multiple videos of different techniques to approach different types of blades. I use this to sharpen knives but also take a blunt edge off a shovel or gardening tool. Also it is made in America, there is a certain pride when you own American made tools.

When a good knife has a quality edge the block sharpener will keep that edge no problem. But if the blade is blunt you need stones. When you get the edge to follow the shape of the knife . The block sharpener will keep the knife razor sharp again and again. I like it a lot very easy to use .American made I'll stand be hind it every time

When I first got this I thought it was awesome. Seemed to work great. Sharpened pretty much everything I had, including my scissors. It ruined my scissors. The knives stay sharp longer but not as sharp as my electric sharpner. Not sure if I just am not doing it right or not, but I did read the instructions first. It would probably work good in a pinch or camping or the like but not for me as I have a great electric sharpner that I have been using for years now. Would not purchase again, but some might have better luck than me.

Shaving sharp was the saying!!! But this makes high carbon blades razor edge sharp …. This is an amazing tool and has my cheapest crMov blades sharper then my cold steel blades… this is an amazingly a too not sharping tool … I’m going to purchase 2x more soon for a backup and to give another to my brother!! Best purchase I’ve made in awhile!!!💪🏽❤️

I've seen a few videos about this product, but for the life of me I can't get both edges to sharpen equally and the "sharper" side isn't very sharp at all. I truly get a sharper blade using the $5 Walmart knife sharpener I have.

I normally don't write reviews and I was hesitant on getting this but after seeing all the youtube videos I was like why not let's test this product out. It has turned all my knifes absolutely super sharp, I've sharpened my kitchen knives to my pocket knives and even my everyday carry and it's amazingly sharp. It's easy to use and I've even sharpened my coworkers knives and they were impressed with their knives and I've recommended them getting this product. So if you're on the fence on getting this....GET IT!

I wasn't really excited after seeing Paul Blocks videos about how "sharp" this sharpener would make your blade. Bought it, tried it on several blades. A picket knife, a serrated knife, a chefs knife, and even a Katana. None of them appear to be any sharper. I even tried the "magazine" test as he usually does in his demonstrations, but the do not slice cleanly at all. Very disappointed.
