Work great - careful with websites in the instructions
The cable works great but I'd be careful using the websites listed on the instruction card as they seem to be full of spyware. Drivers installed automaticlly though.

Works perfectly with Versatuner and Mazda RX8 R3
I bought a reconditioned Surface Pro 7 tablet for use in my car and it arrived yesterday so i spent the evening upadting it to Windows 11. While I waited for this cable to arrive, I bought and installed Versatuner Pro on the tablet. This cable arrived super quick and by the end of work I was sitting in my car ready to connect. I plugged the cable straight into the tablet and then installed the drivers at obdlink.com/drivers. It took no time to install. I then fired up Versatuner and there it was! Cable ready to be assigned. Plugged the cable into the OBD2 port and it wroked flawlessly. Since then I have logged events and also flashed the ECU with no problems what so ever. I highly recommend this cable over any of the cheaper alternatives... Its just not worth bricking your car Happy Smiles per Gallon :)

WOW its good BUT BEWARE
this is a very good tool, it does not take up too much space on laptop to, its got loads of info; and you can reset the fault codes, leave it plugged in and drive for awhile ( but don,t watch it when driving ) and see what is going on with all your car systems. BUT BEWARE AND I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, if you don,t know what your doing it could be a disaster and then it will if your lucky, be a garage repair THAT,S if they can repair what you have done, to the cars ecu unit. but its not all doom and gloom this is a very very good diagnostic tool for the money and you can get updates for the software online. AGAIN THO BEWARE WHAT YOU DO use it carefully. AND IT WILL NOT TURN OFF SERVICE LIGHT i checked this on there web site, I THINK YOU NEED TO PURCHASE the professional disc from them to do this BUT i am not sure....ALSO its an American product so might not show all cars details as in mine it will not show me the car info i e. vin number and such but still i works for what i need it for...

Perfect for Versatuner
I bought this OBD scan tool primarily for use with Mazda Versatuner and I can confirm it's exactly what I needed. Recommended by Versatuner as a safe high quality OBD reader I can say I agree. I've tested this cable with Versatuner and FORscan both on Windows and it worked flawlessly. I'm sure it will work with many other scan softwares. Don't be put off by the price, this is much higher quality than other cheap readers, and the wired connection is much more stable and reliable than bluetooth or wifi.

Did the job - just not on the car i bought it for
relatively simple to use, i bought it mainly for the lead though. The software didnt work on the Jeep, but it works on Toyota (and Lexus)

Great for Versatune
Purchased this after recommended for Versatune. The cable is surprisingly long and very good quality. I wouldn't say it's cheap however the cable is very fast for transferring tunes from your car. I didn't have to install any drivers in my windows laptop and it connected first time to versatune. This is the one if you are using versatune for your car.

Better than the cheap ones
Having played with a couple of cheap ones in the past, I'd always found it difficult to talk to certain cars. Specifically older Saabs and Vauxhals, but this read the fault code out of my 2000 Saab 9-5 ECU. The fact it comes with a license to ODBWiz is a good little bonus too. It's got a proper FTDI serial to USB chip in it, not a Chinese knock off which is what you want for reliable tools, and no dodgy drives as Windows/Linux will find the right one automatically. Although Scantool works in Linux and found the cable, it was unable to read my Saab ECU. For whatever reason ODBwiz, which worked fine in Windows 10 64 bit, was able to talk properly.

I purchased this unit to diagnose a persnickety Check Engine light on my mother's '99 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The device, with its bundled software, allowed me to retrieve and erase saved and intermittent codes stored in the computer. I was able to successfully install the software on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop with no issues whatsoever. I have been able to also make a few bucks on the side diagnosing friends' cars, and to get a real-time look into sensor readings of used cars I've been looking at for purchase. (You'd be surprised how many people will hide a faulty sensor or "impending doom" by resetting the car's ECM before a buyer comes to look at it. If all emissions systems aren't "Ready," that's a red flag for a computer that's had codes reset or the battery disconnected.) It's a useful tool for not only the most basic of backyard mechanics (save $$$ by scanning codes yourself), but provides enough information for those handy under the hood to diagnose and repair without the added expense of a professional-level scan tool. It doesn't give you everything, as I was unable to access the stored codes in the Body Control Module or Antilock/Traction Control System, but the possibility may exist with different software or paying to unlock that feature. Honestly, I've only used it on a few occasions, my two cars are OBD-1 and not compatible with the module. Another handy feature is the ability to record and log realtime sensor output. This is vital for diagnosing intermittent problems, such as a failing sensor, as well as checking out those 0-60 runs to find out if your new K&N air filter really makes you go that 0.1 second faster. :-) The first time you use it, it pays for itself. A basic OBD-2 code reader (with far less capabilities) retails for nearly twice the price. My tools might get scattered in the garage, but I *ALWAYS* know where my laptop is, and I keep the scanner in my laptop bag. Between the convenience of having a scan tool at home, saving myself a 20-minute drive to the nearest auto parts box store for a free scan, and how useful it's been so far, this really is a no-brainer purchase. Bottom line: you can't beat this deal. It's easy to use, the software gives you plenty of information, and there are other free and paid software packages that might be a great thing to add in the future. A dealer or shop will usually charge you a pretty hefty price to find out that Check Engine light is from a loose fuel cap, and in this day and age, who doesn't like saving money?

Oggetto molto valido, io l'ho preso perchè mi funziona benissimo con il software Multiecuscan, e con altri software dedicati. Il prezzo è un pò alto.

Nice unit. My car is Honda city 2008. I didnt face any connectivity issue from phone. But the device when connected to PC failed in installing driver when connected. So i wasnt able to run from PC. I had used a Micro Usb adapter to connect to phone via Usb port of the device and by installing the app on my android phone. There is a lag of nearly one second when reading the live data. Overall the device is good and doesnt have any other issues.
