Excellent Intro to NLP for Business
Excellent introduction to NLP. The approach - of someone going on an NLP course, and their thoughts before, during and after - made it very readable. The subtle way of emphasising major points, through the power of a story narrated through the conference delegate, was really clever. It provides a great overview of NLP, in a very easy to read format. I'm now reading the NLP for Dummies book for the substance.

Some good basic NLP material
To be honest, I enjoyed this book. It was worth the money and had a core powerful message. Did I think it was incredibly well written? No. Did it convey they basic tenets of NLP in order to convey a message that helped me shift my perspective? Yes.It was a nice story told in a fairly basic way with some good content. A good intro for NLP beginners 👍🏻

Excellent book but no reference to spoon bending!!!
Very well written book on NLP written in storybook style, I particularly liked the way the characters attending the seminar in the story were quite sceptical from the start, and that they were ordinary people with ordinary issues, the whole NLP approach is quite a positive and empowering process, I am probably biased because I am a huge fan of NLP but I do recommend this book for those like me who know a little about NLP and would like to know more or for those who know next to nothing and are looking for a real and genuine method to help them improve their lives, Richard Bandler is the guy who created NLP, where as the most well known practitioner is Paul McKenna, who is a well known television hypnotist and not the chap who bends spoons with his mind supposedly as my friend recently said (That's Uri Geller, Maddy dear, really, sort your life out!!)A great read and highly recommended.

Good intro to NLP. Powerful little book.
Nice easy read. Flows very well. I wish I'd have read a book on NLP like this 1st. I read a very boring NLP book years ago which put me off. Be careful what you buy! Anything by Richard Bandler is easy to read and gets the message across well without going into all the boring stuff. Some great videos that you get too when you visit the website given in the book.

a useful summary of the possibilities of NLP
We are what we think. This book is a small but useful summary of what NLP can offer in freeing people from the chains of their own erroneous thinking

Very Short...
NLP was suggested to me by a university career advisor to boost confidence. This book has warmed me up enough to go ahead and buy another book - NLP sounds pretty interesting and worth looking to see if it could benefit me. This intro book gives you the basics, but not enough breathing space between narration to explore the exercises yourself properly. The characters are quite cringe worthy in places, another reviewer succinctly called them 'cardboard characters' - I would agree. The book is short especially for the price, and is the pre-qual to 'The Ultimate Introduction NLP: How to Build a Successful Life.' Having checked the number of pages to this second book and read reviews, it would seem that this second book takes the same story / conference format and also only 160 pages! So... I have opted to bypass the second book and buy a copy of 'Get the Life you Want: The Secrets to Quick & Lasting life Change.' Crossed fingers this one is a more direct approach and a deep dive!

You really need to read this book
I`ve just finished reading this book and it made me smile straight away as i read each page. i have been lucky enough to attend an NLP practioners course in london with richard bandler. The book describes joe who could be any one of us who feel like we are stuck in a rut and focusing on problems. Joe signs up for a seminar with richard bandler and this tells his story of how he learns new techniques over a 3 day period. This book places you in the seminar as a guest , you listen to richard telling stories as he does in the real seminars and you feel yourself relating to the people described through out and as you read your unconcious mind is picking up the techniques taught by richard and owen. If you are lucky enough to ever get the chance to work with richard bandler or owen fitzpatrick i reccomend you go for it, these two people can change your life forever. just think about all that spare time you`ll have when your problems make you smile rather than frown. 10/10 for the authors. If you don`t belive my review , write your own after reading it. Now just click add to basket to find out how much fun you can have.
