Gelli Arts 12 x 14-inch Gel Printing Plate

Arrived safely and well packaged - thank you. After watching several videos on its use- buy a professionally made one for artworks that you may work on seriously. It has a flat smooth surface and care needs to be taken when cleaning (use baby wipes) and store flat and clean after use. Good for hobbyists and children's art but you could buy smaller ones for that. It's a great product to experiment with and there are instant results from a single 'pull'. However with practice and forethought you can get incredible layers and depth of colours.

A brilliant piece of equipment for creative fun to have in my house. Its so easy to use and to clean. I bought it for myself for using when I scrapbook and make cards, but my children have seen how easy it is to use, and with the barest amount of adult supervision involved. This particular size of 6 by 6 inches is perfect for designing small items for cards and scrapbook focal images. Gelli Arts does have printing plates of various sizes as well as a round plate. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone and everyone with or with children.

I had feared that this would smell funny, or be too small but its brilliant. I work on a small scale ATCs and A6 cards, its been wonderful. Small, portable and doesn't take much room to store. Keep it in the packaging it comes in, so be careful opening it and store it flat. Much fun! Didn't think I would get in to Gelli printing quite like I did (going off previous attempts with plates belonging to others) but now I regret not having got the A4 size. Think before you order - you might find yourself hooked on this.

Great way to start monoprinting. Very satisfying to roll out colours and have a result in just a few minutes. Totally addictive. Great for clawing back some creativity.

Arrived well packaged and in excellent time. It works perfectly. Artists recommend it's kept sandwiched between sheets of copy paper rather than plastic, which I've been doing and it's staying smooth and working well. I would add a word of warning though! I used newspaper to roll off excess paint/clean off my brayer and then used the brayer on the gel plate - the plate still works fine but it's permanently marked with the newsprint, every word of it! Use plain paper for your brayer every time.
