Works as advertised, very useful.
I use these as a charge controller for a small battery system. They keep the battery topped off with a simple and cheap power supply. Easy to set, easy to see the battery voltage and if it is charging. I have several of these and they all work.

Scary clicking after 2 months
I use this as a backup relay for my solar. Set it to turn on when the batteries get low. It worked great for a little over a month. The relay was clicking on and off sporadically and made me very nervous that it was going to cause a fire.

One more try
Broken parts visible inside bag, not opening. Box looks perfect but bag has a lot off holes as if it was originally packed very tightly.

It works really well!
I didn't buy this for the usual battery charger controller. I bought this as an experiment to turn on a Genset to turn on a generator and the generator and inverter takes care of charging my battery bank. The inverter puts out up to 100 amps to charge my batteries. So by using a relay to switch on the Genset, this charge controller does an excellent job. I can adjust the voltage when the Genset starts and when to have it drop out. This was an easy mod to fix a very complicated problem. Hopefully, it will continue to work as it has been.

Home brew solution for your old transformer diode charger.
The display reads your present battery voltage. When the battery drops below 12 V, the relay closes connecting the external charger. When the battery being charged reaches 14 V the default value, the relay drops out. The unit takes it's power from the battery being charged. You will have to bypass this regulator for a battery that is completely dead. I mounted mine in a plastic sandwich meat box. I poked 4 holes for the wires. I sealed the holes with black liquid tape. Amazon sells a bag of red and black battery clips.

Dead
Unit was dead on arrival. Neither battery nor power supply made it function. DEAD! So I figured it couldn't happen twice and ordered a second one. Didn't even light up either. My analysis: Junk!

Works like a champ
Instructions could be better to adjust for 24v battery. I figured it out but took me sometime.
