Great learning experience!
Got this for my 7 year-old grandson as an alternative to Legos and he loves the Vex system. There are lots of possibilities with these!

The rover is cool without question
The rover is cool without question, plus it's simple to put together and comes together relatively quickly. I think it'd be really easy for a novice builder.

Damaged
Product box came damaged. This was supposed to be used as part of a gift - hard to give this when box is completely crumbled..

Not robotics
They have robotics written all over the product description. But it’s basically a Lego set

Missing Astronaut
My son got this as a birthday present and it was missing the astronaut. We had fun building it regardless, but the quality is not great. After 10 minutes, all the connections are pretty loose and everything droops down and pops apart. I don’t see this lasting more than a day or 2.
