I have high expectations of Rhodia, and these pads do not disappoint. The paper feels sturdy for 80gsm, and is smooth enough for a pleasant writing experience, with just enough texture to grab the ink well. It suffered no ghosting with either the Uniball One rollerball or the Stabilo Sensor fineliner. Very heavy shading did lead to slight bleeding with the fineliner, but it held up better than a lot of 80gsm paper. The front cover is stylish and practical, with a gloss outer finish, which is good for protection, and a nicely tactile matte inner surface. The back cover is sturdy cardboard for support. The pages are perforated for a very clean edge when torn out, although you need to tear slightly carefully as the fine perforations don’t always take well to being ripped sharply. Best bet is to rip the whole page out, then carefully remove the tattered edge along the perforations. Overall, great notepads for general use, and in my view excellent value for money given the quality.

These are great notepads, fantastic value for money and high quality paper. The pages are perforated at the top so you can tear them out easily. The dots are feint so but provide a good guide for writing or drawing. The pages don't bleed through if you are using fountain pens either.

All time favourite note pad

Just perfect for my requirements. Rhodia is a brand I trust. Pricey, but not too bad when bought in packs of five.

I'm giving this a 4 star as they were basically OK, but there was something odd about the package. There were all the notebooks, but one of them was not the same as the others, it's a was a very slightly different design (though still said Rhodia and had extremely similar paper) the most obvious aspect being it had curved corners, all the others had square which is what previous books I've had have been. And that one had been used! Only a couple of pages at the front, but it had clearly been with someone else who had tested out new inks and pens etc. But fundamentally it was all usable, so I just ripped out pages and kept them all, but not giving it 5 stars as it's giving weird vibes

Quite honestly a great little product. If like me you a sucker for nice, thick paper that feels great for writing or drawing then you can't go wrong with a Rhodia notepad. I've marked it down on sturdiness based on the fact it's wirevound and generally they're easily bent, but the main thing to consider is what you'll be using it for. Which is why overall it gets five stars at a bargain price.

Got meself a fancy pen - a fancy notebook with fancy paper was next in order. Great quality.

Paper quality is absolutely great. It brings out the best in every pen. The wire bound is wide enough that the paper misalign when put flat. This is for the good however because it means pages can be turned very comfortably.
