absolutely the best
I have footdrop on my right side and have tried four different products. The Boxia is the best I have ever tried. I use the hooks to secure the band: in the 3rd eyelets in my shoe (counting from my ankle). I am not entirely comfortable with the little insert that is provided which goes under the laces. Personal preference - my method feels more secure. I first tried the hooks in the 4th eyelet but that was too tight. 3rd eyelet is perfect. Now when I lift my leg, the foot stays level ad does not drop. Brilliant. Just be aware to go slowly at first - it will take a little time to get used to the Boxia. This product is re commended by specialist orthotics departments in the NHS. I found it also helps with inversion, where my foot/ankle tilts in wards.

Great confidence booster
This is comfortable to wear and works so well. My husband is now walking with confidence. It has made a tremendous difference difference to the quality of his life.

This is the best product by far that I have tried
This is by far the best drop foot AFO I have tried. By far. It is better in terms of build quality, and it is much more effective because it allows you to pull it as tight as you need in order to pull up properly. My physio was suggesting I needed a full boot orthotic when I was wearing the Ossur, but changed her mind when she saw me walking wearing this Boxia product. I have tried the Dropstop which is 100% useless; I am thinking of using it as a cup holder in my car because it does nothing to pull up my toe. I have tried the Ossur product which (a) is of inferior design so it starts to collapse on itself after about a week which effectively renders it useless because it reduces the tension in the elastic; (b) has a fixed length elastic so cannot be pulled to your size; and (c) falls apart so it really only lasts less than a month before it needs to be replaced (expensive business 12 AFOs a year!). The Boxia product is now 2+ months old as is still like new. Also, to their discredit Ossur censor postings in the review section on their web site which means that all the reviews you read are positive. For what it's worth I have found that the Boxia product works best when worn with boots, which keeps it high up on the ankle, and when the boots have laces that extend a long way towards the toe of the shoe because you get better leverage. Aside from the positive comments on the product, £47 seems jolly expensive for what is basically some neoprene and elastic. But if you have drop foot then unfortunately you need to buy some expensive product or another, and without doubt this is the one to go for in my experience.

Not cheap but the best never is..
Have tried a variety of devices for my Foot drop due to Motor Sensory Neuropathy and these are the best in terms of quality and ease of use, like that you get two hook gaiters to go under the laces so you can have them ready on 2 pairs of shoes, they also supply metal hooks for another method of attachment, the quality of the velcro is high and the bungee cord is so adaptable depending on how much tension you need or want, also easy to slip off while driving etc. I bought two in large size, they fit like a dream and are comfortable.

Great until the hook snapped.
I wanted to wait a year before doing my review because it's impossible to gauge durability without a long period of use. I ordered mine 30/09/15 and was all ready to give it a four star with this month being the anniversary, but the hook on the foot attachment snapped literally this morning, so it's lost a star for that. Positives- It's probably the best of all the non-plastic material ones on the market. The fact that the connection between ankle and shoe is elastic is great and allows good flexibility. It works with laced shoes and does the job. Negatives- The hook snapped just before the one year mark of use (today). This is a huge issue because I could have seriously injured myself when it snapped when my foot went straight down. Not sure what the lifespan of the hook is supposed to be but that's a major issue. I would not have expected that to happen at all. There is downward pressure on the top of the foot which is common for these types of over-the-foot braces. Can be resolved by wearing a decent soft material ankle brace under it but it can get tight. Overall, use with caution and check the hooks regularly. The metal must be a decent one but it could be much sturdier. But aside from that, it's served me really well.

very sturdy product
Having developed foot drop from a back problem, I have used the Ossur foot up for past year, and it is a good product. However as another reviewer reported, it does become pretty saggy quickly, constantly requiring adjustment, so decided to give the Boxia a try. What a difference! so much more stable around the ankle, material a much firmer fit, although still comfortable. Also i have found the foot to ankle attachment much more stable. It is easy to secure, and adjustable by wrapping further round ankle. The foot to ankle attachment is less discreet than foot up, consisting of a hook, and what looks like a small bunjee cord??? but did not find it overly obvious - I tend to wear boots or converse, with skinny jeans and you can't really see it under laces. I have found it stays in place all day, and does not require me to keep tightening shoe laces to hold it in place. I work full time and am on my feet most of the day, and find this so comfortable. I have been wearing this daily for approx 1 month, and it's still retaining shape and tension. With the foot up, I was finding I was dragging my leg by end of day, but haven't found this with Boxia.
