Recently retired, we read a devotional every morning, and it helps us plan our next steps in life. While we did a lot of homework before we retired, we still did not know exactly what it would be like. This book has a faith based approach to the new chapter in our lives. It ties scripture into every day stories and routines to really get you thinking about what is important in life. We all have different ideas of what our retirement should look like, but you never really know until you get there - and there will be surprises and questions, doubts, fear, joy - a whole new way of looking at life - but also how we can play a role that is so much different that we ever understood in previous chapters of life. I highly recommend this book, and we have it on our gift list for our many friends who are about to retire! Love it!

I gave this Retirement Devotional Book to my dear, sweet friend upon her retirement. Years ago, I had given her the devotional book "Jesus Calling". This seemed like the perfect little follow-up gift as she retired from our company. She absolutely loved it ♥

As an author of two retirement books, I can say that this book is one of the best written about retirement. As a smaller book in hard cover, with some great images, this makes an excellent retirement gift for the soon-to-be retired and the retired. It's a humorous book, and at the same time a very spiritual book, written for retirees to remind themselves why they retired in the first place. It's full of reminders and creative suggestions that make it a delight to read. It can be opened on any page and does not have to be read from the beginning to the end. Open to Page 162, for example, and you will read: HOW TO: Take the world't longest coffee break: Retire! In short, I wish I would have written this delightful book.
