Despite a near-total digital music-performance ecosystem, a quick "what key is that in"=priceless
Despite a near-total digital music-performance ecosystem, a quick ANALOG "what key is that in" tool (that never needs batteries or a USB cable lol)? PRICELESS.Particularly when trying to decide what key my vocal range will let me do a given song in, or just idly picking out what key a song is in that I plan to cover, etc, I grab this tool literally more often than my smartphone with all the cool audio-analysis/rehearsal/etc software on it... I've even attached some pedal-board velcro to the case this came in so I could tack it right up within arm's reach from where I do audio work/recreation.Don't underestimate the old-school usefulness of a chromatic assemblage of metal reeds harnessed to the human lung lol

Not like I remember
Received the pitch pipe in good time. However, since it had been more than 20 years since I'd used one the weight of it felt different, lighter. Also didn't give the pitch regularly and accurately. Probably operator error!

fun and easy perfect pitch
I don't have the perfect pitch ear and never will. I still can't carry a tune unless it's in a bucket. But having this is a LEARNING TOOL to begin to "match" pitch. I bought it for my boyfriend who was always curious about such a thing. So it's FUN.

Didn't give accurate notes
Bought 2 and sent them back. This item is very flimsy and cheaply constructed. Tried blowing into it for vocal training. Only half the notes could be heard. The others weren't accurate and sounded terrible!

Perfect!
A little hard to blow into but works great with the right breath support!
