Kun Original - 4/4 Violin Shoulder Rest

I have had a few different shoulder rests over the years. The Kun Original is my favorite. It is well-made, comfortable, sturdy, and does what it is supposed to do.

My daughter tried several shoulder rests, but this one was most comfortable for her. We like how it can be adjusted in multiple ways to get the best fit.

So my previous review was as follows:“This shoulder rest is probably defective🤔. It does not fit my violin very well (it falls off I’ve tried moving the knob to different placements as well as the hinges)... The reason why I decided to buy the KUN shoulder rest (selling for about twice the amount from a starter company) was because my teacher had allowed me to use her shoulder rest when I first started, it was well made and I wanted to go with something that would last. Not sure if its bad product, a defective unit, or maybe user error (which I doubt). Anyhow I give this product two stars.”With all the embarrassment in the world it was user error, the grips or hinges are screw on and for the longest time I kept getting it wrong, this is why the shoulder rest would not stay on😅. Overall it is well made, however I wish the hinges were foldable and not removable, then perhaps I would not have thought that my shoulder rest was defective.

For this price nothing else on the market can beat it. It is very a well constructed and sturdy shoulder rest. It feels very comfortable when holding the violin in my neck because of it's conventional and plain design, and I probably won't need another shoulder rest for years. A great replacement over my cheap Chinese made copy.

Since my 12 year old son received his new shoulder rest he plays much better according to his teacher

My violin teacher suggested this. It is comfortable to use, stays where it is supposed to, is gentle on my instrument and is easy to place and remove.

I love this shoulder rest it is my favorite. I love how adjustable this is and it sits perfectly. I have had a Kun in the past I was worried this would be the same but I’m was wrong it is. The only negative this I have to say is that it doesn’t collapse I think I remember and like some of the reviews showed. But I have played since I was in elementary school and 100% recommend this. Even though it doesn’t collapse it still fits in my violin case.
