Sellmer 559 The Tower from 1955 Advent Calendar

A beautiful advent calender which brought back a lot of happy childhood memories. The artwork behind the doors is far better than I expected. Instead of the usual symbolic image of, for example, a present or a robin, there small scenes appropriate to the door or window which hides them.I look forward to buying next years advent calender from the same company.

Looking for an advent without chocolates in was nearly impossible locally,so when I saw these I was very happy ,bit more expensive than I wanted but it's xmas so whatever .

Was not really worth the money. Smaller than I expected and difficult to open the windows.

Looks pretty but has a big fold in the middle..... Not sure how it is freestanding????

My granddaughters are delighted with this calendar, which is quite tall and detailed

The calender has warm nostalgic feel to it; bringing back childhood memories of Christmas.It is a pleasure to look at, with its glitter and little details.It would appeal to young and old alike.
