Interesting tips but impractical for family
I initially loved this book. The introduction sections are informative and easy to follow. It provides a meal plan and shopping list week by week. However, 1.5 weeks into following the actual plan, we are realising it doesn’t quite work for family life. Eg strawberries and nut butter doesn’t cut it for breakfast after a night of breastfeeding, and won’t keep a child full up for a morning of school. Some of the recipe measurements are not quite right. Some are only for one person, others are for two, so you have to double check your measurements each time. However, it is an excellent book for recipe inspiration, and ideas on how to diversify diet.

A practical introduction to gut health with loads of enticing recipes.
I have heard about the importance of gut health and searched for an accessible, clear introduction to the subject. The publication itself is attractive with lots of illustration to complement the text which is practical and a balanced guide to the whys and hows of feeding your gut. The recipes look straightforward and enticing rather than a privation so I look forward to dipping in and out of this book for a good long time.

Science based, easy to read and lots of great recipes
I've recently become interested in gut health having heard some convincing podcasts that it has a big impact on overall health. This was a great guide to improving gut-health. I felt all the advice was well researched and based on science (I hate really faddy advice) and it was just super practical. It is the sort of book I'll keep next to me when I'm doing my weekly online shop to remember to get the right range of foods and cherry pick a couple of recipes. Highly recommended!

Tasty and easy to make recipes
A superb book. Easy to follow recipes. I can’t cook but I am able to make these dishes and they are delicious. The book includes shopping lists and information about the types of food. I’ve learnt so much and use it everyday. Thank you Clemence for this amazing book.

Not really practical
Looks interesting but it’s more of a 30 day diet rather than recipes that we wanted
