Batman Adventures: Mad Love Deluxe Edition Hardcover – Special Edition, 21 April 2015

This hardback deluxe edition of 'Mad Love' is fantastic.It's from the creative team behind 'Batman: The Animated Series' (B:TAS) from the 1990's - namely artist Bruce Timm and writer Paul Dini. And it uses the animation style and continuity from that show. As a tie-in to B:TAS, there was a comic book series entitled 'The Batman Adventures' - and 'Mad Love' forms part of that storyline.This is about the origin of Harley Quinn, a character created by these individuals (a character that became so popular as to become a regular fixture in DC Comics). It's a story about Joker vs Batman ... and, where the Joker fails, Harley nearly succeeds! The backstory of this tragic (yet beautiful) character is thoroughly entertaining. The story of this graphic novel was adapted into an episode of the animated series.Great artwork; great story. This edition comes with notes and draft material - as well as an introduction.For me, this was the BEST of the Batman comics to be issued in the 1990's.

In love with batman and love Harley. This is a really good comic, very humorous and sad at the same time :)

I bought this for a friend who was leaving work and I wish I kept it. Lovely hard cover on this deluxe copy.

It is all I could have expected, includes all the original layouts by Bruce Timm and his colour guides of which we only had had a taste before. I am just sorry that most of them are not full-page, perhaps they though that would be too hard core, but I would have loved it.Shame the introduction by Paul Dini is re-cycled from other books and not edited to fit this one but it's a minor detail.

Perfect I can finally figure out how Dr. Harleen Quinzel became my sexy puddin' I recommend it to any Harley Quinn fan its absolutely perfect for an origin story

Good story and great art but it's quite short. If you're interested in a more in-depth Harley Quinn origin story, I would recommend Harleen, which is fantastic! Worth owning for big HQ fans I suppose.

Great condition, protected and the person who did the packaging, it was a solid 100. Very happy with this purchase.

Ce comic est cool et le vendeur aussi. J'aurai juste préféré le dessin de l'ancienne version je le trouve pas terrible celui-ci mais bon ca ne compte pas vu que je le savais. Donc rien à signaler l'encrage est ouf et le papier de qualité (je n'ai pas trop l'habitude de comics donc ce n'est pas l'avis non plus d'un expert mais le papier me semble verre glacé, il brille/flash, en tous cas la qualité papier est beaucoup mieux que celle utilisée sur Gotham Girls par exemple.)
