The dimensions say 5.25"l x 1.5"w x 13.5"h is it really only 5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide?

Good catch. I have no idea where they got those measurements from. It doesn’t let me attach photos but it’s about: 14.5” long, 7” wide, and 13” high. That being said it doesn’t take up much more space than 2 gallon jug water bottles which we’d have on our counter top if we didn’t have this filter. Unless you have NO countertop space I wouldn’t let the size be the deterrent as it’s totally manageable. Hope this helps!

May I take the carafe model on a domestic US flight as part of carry on? Thank you!

Do you need to remineralize the water?

Thank you for your interest in our water purifier. Adding minerals is a preference rather than a requirement. Some people like to add minerals, some don't. Some people have a misconception that the Reverse Osmosis process removes ALL minerals from water. AquaTru removes about 90% of minerals, but not all of them. Using the standard filters, AquaTru does not remineralize the water. We leave the option to add minerals open to the individual. Some people prefer low mineral water since it has the “cleanest” taste. Both options are available according to individual preference. For those who prefer to add minerals and produce alkaline water, we have an optional pH + Mineral Boost Alkaline VOC Filter is made up of a proprietary blend of activated carbon and minerals, including calcium, and magnesium. Will this work with well water?

Thank you for your interest in our water purifier. AquaTru is designed to filter municipal tap water. Although the RO membrane will filter out biological contaminants such as bacteria, microorganisms, and pathogens—For example: AquaTru has been tested and certified to remove Cysts, which includes Cryptosporidium, Entamoeba Histolytica, and Giardia lamblia—it is not recommended for water that may be microbiologically unsafe, such as well water or other kinds of untreated water.
