Eden Kuzu Root Starch, Organic, 3.5 Ounce

I just tried Kuzu root as a thickener for the first time and was very impressed with how it thickened without making the dish either slimy or gluey. After dissolving it in water and adding it to the dish it did need to be simmered for a few minutes before it thickened it. There was no added flavor when putting it in a Thai curry. I did need to use three tablespoons of it in a curry for 4 people, so the cost worked out to be quite high. I taste tested some by itself and it does have an almost imperceptible bitterness but in a very delicate sauce and in large amounts perhaps it might be detectable? But if someone was allergic to corn and/or wheat and couldn’t use cornflour or wheat flour this would be an excellent replacement. I am unsure if I will buy again due to the high cost as I don’t have food intolerances, but always eager to try anything new and incorporate it into my culinary repertoire. I am glad I tried Kuzu and did prefer the way it thickened to cornflour, as it provided a silky smooth mouth-feel, so perhaps I will buy it again. I will use up the rest of the bag and then decide if I will keep it in stock. If you have allergies to corn or wheat then try this without hesitation! Highly recommended!

I liked that the smell and taste was fresh. No factory or other type of strange taste. It’s a very small bag but worth the money due to the good quality.

I was looking forward to trying this kuzu, but the amount I received was surprisingly small for the price. The quality may be fine, but the value wasn’t what I expected, so I’ll likely try a different seller next time. I hope this helps others make an informed choice.

It's great for cooking with. I bought it as a replacement for arrowroot and cornstarch snacks. It's not that good for snacking. Im going back to arrowroot which has that dry fresh crunch. Again, This is very good for cooking.

It was delivered in two days and I love the way it works. It thickens very nicely and easily and has no taste at all. I also love that it is made from kudzu which has been eaten for thousands of years in other cultures. America does nothing with it except throw chemicals on it trying to kill it. There are a lot of recipes that I would love to try and if I lived in the South, I would be eating a lot of it every day for free. People are nuts.

I ordered this to replace my corn starch cravings and I tell you, it hit the spot!!!!! Me honestly, it taste more cleaner than corn starch and the fact that I could swallow it (cause it strengthens the intestine) , it took me to another level! Now, the price for that SMALL BAG, NOT WORTH IT!!!!! I literally used it in 2 days! Would’ve been in 1 day but wanted to stretch it

This is a ripoff product. Never order from this company again. $40 for 100g. Stupid me. Good luck with your business. Hopefully your company will end soon. This product should get 1 star. The advertising price need to be improved and clear.

Under product description the quantity says 12. I didn't mind paying $30 for 12 packages, but I ended up with 1 100g package. Since it's a non returnable item I'll give it a shot, but definitely won't be buying again.
