Mexican Coffee, USDA Organic, Whole Bean, Fresh Roasted, 16-ounce

This is one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Smooth and rich without a hint of bitterness, it tastes as good as it smells. There’s a definite hint of chocolate. I love that it’s organic and tested for mycotoxins. I’ve found my perfect daily coffee!

This Volcanica Coffee has an *epic* bloom when I use it in a French Press. This creates a fresher taste and brings out all of those fun flavor notes these beans and roast have to offer. To bloom your coffee, set your timer for 4 minutes and then pour enough water onto the grounds to wet them all equally. Then—wait. Once the timer has three and a half minutes on it, it’s time to pour the rest of the water into the french press. Give it a simple stir (not too vigorously, as this will release bitter flavors into the coffee) and put the lid on. Once your timer goes off, it’s finally time to gently press down the plunger. Volcanica Coffee reminds me of Dunkin' Donuts whole beans back when DD got their coffee from Mexico.

I would love to love volcanica. 90% of the time when I order (and I order a bag every 10 days on average). over 90% of the time, the beans are over 1month off roast. 75% of the time the beans are over 2 months off roast. Volcanica advertises "Freshly roasted" and it couldnt be any less accurate. Its disappointing because they have good prices and have tasty coffee when its fresh. The mexican is my favorite but im going to have to find a different company that can actually deliver fresh roast.

There is nothing I don't like about this coffee except it isn't inexpensive but you get what you pay for nice deal flavor with none of the bitterness. I have been buying if off a few month!s now looking forward every morning to my wonderful first cup of coffee

I really like the mellowness of Mexican coffee in general and this one is a great example. Nice earthy, chocolate-y, nutty flavor. It's a medium roast with minimal bitterness. I have it on auto-send to have around for my morning coffee every day.

I like the bag but the coffee is not fresh. The flavor is of a regular coffee but nothing unique. It seems that it was not roasted properly.
