Usually when I order products like this, they end up looking slightly different from the advertised photos — sometimes the color is off or the material feels cheaper than expected. But this ILIHO Leather Journal Notepad (4.8 x 6.5 inches) came exactly as shown in the listing. The leather has a nice, genuine feel to it and doesn’t look or feel flimsy. It gives off that classic, retro-style quality you’d expect from a small premium journal. I also really appreciate the size. It’s compact enough to fit easily into a purse or sling bag without feeling bulky or taking up too much space, but still large enough to comfortably jot down notes. It’s perfect for everyday carry, quick thoughts, reminders, or journaling on the go. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase — it looks great, feels well made, and is exactly what I was hoping for.

Really can't say enough good things about this journal. It feels like it is fairly good quality. The design looks amazing, and quite elegant! The leather cover folds back quite easily making it feel great, and easy to write with no matter where you are. My only gripe, is it does come with a strong fish oil odor. Wrap the book tightly in paper towels, then put it in a large ziploc with some baking soda, leave it in there for a day or two to get rid of that smell.

Very expensive looking notebook. Leather is soft and has a vintage look to it. Paper is thick and good quality. Lines are wide ruled. Perfect gift idea for male and females.

Beautiful notebook. The leather is very high quality. The construction is beautiful. So why not 5 stars. The item is described at having paper amenable to fountain pens. That’s just not true. The paper is good quality and quite thick. You likely won’t see any bleed through so you can write on both sides of the page. Sadly though this very nice paper is too rough to work smoothly in concert with a good quality fountain pen nib. I don’t regret the purchase, I just wish I hadn’t trusted the description and wish I would’ve tested the pen on the back flab.

I feel like this journal is my freaking child already. I was SO picky and couldn't make a decision when I was looking for one. I probably looked at a couple hundred journals over the course of several months before I decided on this one. I wanted a leather journal with lines, but I also wanted the deckle edge. It's incredibly hard to find deckle edge journals with lines for one, and I didn't want one that I might regret if it had an image or design on the front. I settled on the straight edge, but the pages are dark, so it still feels aged. I'm using this as the first journal in my life. I'm trying to "do the work" with self care and I really have no idea what to do, so I figured this would be a good starting place. This is really made well. The entire thing is so soft. Even the inside where sometimes leather can be dry and rough, this is soft and fuzzy. The paper is a good stock, not too thick or thin. I love that I can date the pages. Each section of pages seems to be in there pretty good, so I don't need to worry about losing any. All over this is really nice quality. If this was a gift I would be so excited to receive it. I'm actually thinking of buying more as gifts for the holidays. Whatever your reason for buying one, I recommend this one. Considering some are up towards 30-40 bucks, this one is definitely worth the 19 I paid. What I thought was pretty cool is that the strap is weaved like a buckle, so you can tuck the slack back into itself for an extra secure closure. And the strap can be completely removed and re worked if you prefer it close in a different direction.
