Now if like me , you have knives you use on a daily basis, cutting all manner of food, seems to me to be a no brainer that I needed to buy a sharpener. But on itial practice using this particular tool, instead of sharpening, it dulled the blade even more so the cutting surface flattened the edge . Okay I bought it but on reflection will return to using a steel and my sharpening stone, as this proved pretty useless.
