This Is 40 [DVD] [2013]

A lot of inappropriate humour, however, it is quite kind humoured also. Slightly exaggerated and concentrated set of situations you might be going through as a couple or an individual when approaching 40.. But it's hilarious. Love both leading actors (Leslie Mann, Paul Rudd)

this is a fun movie to watch if you're in the demographic, but the horrible language, and children swearing and stuff, really takes away from it for me. I could sort of see if its just in the really emotional scenes, but just every 10th word over and over is a swear word. I just don't get it cuz it takes away from the film. real people don't talk like that.

I dare any 40 plus man or women not to watch this witha degree of humour and a large chuck of recognition. Funny as hell and a great watch!

Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd are just brilliant in this comedy. Some of the scenes had us in stitches especially the one with the wi-fi. Turning 40 can be a daunting time in the mind and most of us go through what these 2 do in some ways so it plays out superbly. Give this a go and enjoy

Yes its a bit juvenile, and not exactly a deep film exploring philosophical conundrums but it is a barrel of laughs and cringeworthy moments that everyone can relate to from start to finish

Best film I've seen in ages! Very funny - although I did watch it on my iPad on the train and had to hide the screen a few times 😬.Thoroughly recommend - particularly if you're around 40 years of age.

This is such a funny film! I've seen it a few times and paid to watch it again...worth it. Paul Rudd is hilarious in this proper laugh out loud. touching and definitely a true reflection of life. well worth watching

As a 40 something married mum of two daughters I can completely appreciate this film. So funny and so true I laughed all the way through. Anyone married with children and who have hit 40 will find this film a scream. ENJOY!

...verlangen einem manchmal alles ab.Darum geht es in dem Film.Der Film ist zwar sehr langatmig, aber irgendwie bleibt man dran, weil es immer wieder Momente gibt, in denen man sich selber wiederfindet. Der Film ist kein besonderes Highlight. 3.6 Sterne

I bought this for my dad because every time it was on tv he watched it. He really liked that the movie showed real family issues that come at 40 and raising a fsmily. Nothing I know about but he adores this movie. Shipping was fast as lightning too btw.

Lustiger Film ums älter werden und Familie. Um so lustiger ist er, wenn man auch in etwa das gleiche Alter, wie die Schauspieler hat und auch Nachwuchs da ist.

Super Komödie mit vielen witzigen Situationen, die man nachvollziehen kann...Gerade für Eltern nett.Zum Schauen mit dem Nachwuchs eher weniger geeignet ;-)

Avec « 40 ans : mode d'emploi », Jude Apatow réalise une sorte de « sequel » de son « 40 ans : mode d'emploi », en donnant cette fois les rôles principaux au couple Pete (Paul Rudd) - Debbie (Leslie Mann) et à leurs deux filles. Le film est, au final, tout aussi drôle et convaincant que le précédent.Cinq années on passé. Pete et Debbie s'apprêtent désormais à fêter leur quarantième anniversaire. Ce cap fait resurgir toutes les interrogations plus ou moins loufoques qui nuisent à l'équilibre de ce couple pourtant très soudé. Debbie avoue avoir besoin de « deux ans de plus » et tente de s'accrocher à ses 38 ans pourtant bien dépassés. Pete se réfugie dans une fuite en avant ou dans l'esquive. Les relations compliquées avec leurs enfants et leurs parents compliquent encore la situation. Les différents musicaux entre Pete, fan des Pixies, et Debbie et ses deux filles qui adorent Lady Gaga résument bien les efforts que chacun va devoir consentir pour se rapprocher de l'autre, alors que la crise de la quarantaine frappe de plein fouet !Le film et son scénario porte un regard très drôle, parfois acerbe, sur le couple et ses déboires. Les dialogues sont particulièrement bien vus, tout comme le sont tous les seconds rôles (Megan Fox, Jason Segel et les enfants Apatow, également très bons). Les références geek (la série Lost et toute la gamme des appareils Apple en i), la bande musicale et tout les clins d'oeil à la vie quotidienne des Américains moyens font également mouche. On rit beaucoup, mais on réfléchit également à sa propre existence en regardant cette comédie percutante, désopilante et réussie.
