This is a very comprehensive kit for easily testing your thrift store finds. It comes with a very reliable diamond tester that I know works because I've tried it on a real diamond ring and a CZ ring and it was obvious the way the lights work that it could tell the difference. It's amazing that it contained everything it did for the price, I think it's a great value. The only thing I'm missing now is a small accurate gram scale. No it did not come with the carrying case it came in a plastic bag, the carrying case that it is in I bought right here on Amazon.

The kit needed to include gloves. The acids are pretty strong and a couple have a strong smell. They are mainly useful if used right away. The silver test acid looses it's effectiveness after about 6 months. The instructions were clear and you have to have good lighting to correctly read results.

Perfect for testing jewelry on the go. Great little kit that I can keep with me and use anywhere. Simple instructions and easy to use.

This is a great for testing gold, silver, and diamonds to make sure,that what you get when investing in these items is genuine. It is unfortunate that there are individuals out there that try to sell you things that are not genuine or are less than what it,advertised. You really have to be careful and protect yourself from these individuals. This kit allows you to do this.

Unfortunately what I intended to buy this for which is the drops for metal testing, they do not work as expected. I am unsure if they are expired or if they just don’t work properly but they do not give me the results I was looking for and instead the metals start to almost float once the drops are placed on. I have tried this with jewelry I know is pure gold and not questionable yet I still came across this issue :( looked to get a partial refund at least considering I like the microscope and diamond tester it came with but it didn’t give me the option to.

The diamond tester works fine, but the metals test kit that came with it seems to be defective. I used the silver test on marked items, and the acid didn't react. I emailed the company at the address they included on an order insert to ask about it, but days later, I've received no response. Disappointed.
