Finally, a speaker that actually lives up to the Spatial Audio hype!
I’ve been a long-time Sonos user, starting with the Sonos one to buying the Sonos Roam and now this. I was skeptical if the Era 300 would truly feel like a "generational leap," but after a month of testing, I’m sold. This isn't just a louder speaker; it’s a completely different listening experience. What I Loved: Immersive Spatial Audio: If you use YouTube Music, the Dolby Atmos tracks are incredible. The upward-firing driver actually works—you get a genuine sense of height and a "wrap-around" soundstage that a single speaker shouldn't be able to produce. Massive Soundstage: Even with standard stereo tracks, the Era 300 fills a large room much better than the Era 100 or the older Sonos One. It feels wide and airy. Connectivity Options: Huge win here. Having Bluetooth on a flagship Sonos speaker is a relief for guests, and the USB-C line-in (via adapter) makes it easy to connect other devices. Things to Consider: The Design: It’s "unique." The cinched-waist look is polarizing, and it’s significantly larger than a Sonos One. Make sure you have the shelf space (or the specific Era 300 stands). Price Point: It’s a premium investment. To get the most out of it, you really need a subscription to a service that supports Atmos. Line-in Adapter: Note that the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is sold separately. At this price, it would have been nice to see it included. The Verdict: If you are looking for a standalone speaker for a medium-to-large room, the Era 300 is currently the best in the Sonos lineup. Bottom Line: If you care about Dolby Atmos and want a speaker that feels "future-proof," this is the one to get.

Sounds great - removed my skepticism!
I wanted an audio system for the living room that the whole family could share. I was really skeptical about whether a single speaker, fed by compressed streamed audio would sound good. I had tried a bookshelf system based on a FOSI-brand amplifier and this wasn't powerful enough while also having the disadvantage of multiple parts and cables. I considered other wireless speakers but I knew of the Sonos brand and thought I would try it. I could not believe how GOOD this speaker sounded. One unit was all I needed. I really thought I would need two to get a full sound (stereo, right?). Bass reproduction exceeds expectations for a wide range of music types. We have used it inside and outside. I bought the optional metal stand (the Sonos-brand one). The speaker looks good and pretty much disappears into the room. I have it located in a corner to take advantage of reflections and bass resonance. I have considered buying the matching sub and a second speaker, but I don't really need these for my application. I did set up the Sonos Wi-Fi, but most of us use the speaker with a Bluetooth connection. Set-up was easy and I had the unit up and running in minutes.

Amazing
Love Sonos, it’s a great product, works great on its own but shines when paired with a subwoofer. Dolby atmos audio is especially great, so make sure to use the Sonos app to get the most out of it.

Good but not Great
The sound doesn’t blow me away and volume control is annoying as it has to be done through the app. I have a JBL boombox 3 and it sounds noticeably better for basically the same price. I just bought the sonos because it looks better. If JBL had something that looked more appealing I would have returned it.

DO NOT BUY, AVOID!!! : terrible system & they will spontaneously, without warning, go MAX VOLUME!!!
AVOID SONOS!!! Buy Apple Speakers instead (I do not receive any money from these products) I've been using your speakers for about 2 months now... TERRIBLE: They spontaneous and dramatically increase the volume which has caused multiple neighbor complaints to be submitted against me. G**gle the reviews elsewhere: this is a COMMON problem!!! They jump to MAX VOLUME without warning! (when you're sleeping, in the shower or away from home! Can you imagine?) The music never resumes from where you left off. Even my 2012 Volkwagen performs that option better! They often do NOT pair with my iPhone or iPad. You have to struggle with your Bluetooth connection or the TERRIBLE Sonos app. Your app is average at best as the system never engages the 3 speakers I own. Their app is so bad, they keep retooling it and re-releasing it! That's a bad sign! Check those reviews too! This is 2024! Something as expensive as your speakers should be effortless. AVOID THIS SYSTEM. And by the way, Amazon was NO HELP and even their supervisor ("Andrew") told me I was "outta luck" and had to keep them! Then I contacted the seller through Amazon: guess what? Their phone number is disconnected. Then I contacted Sonos: "SORRY, you have to go through Amazon because we didn't sell them to you!" Oh yeah? so you gave them to Amazon for FREE??? AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I've operated major sound systems with LESS HASSLE!
