I was recommended this by a friend while trying to draw very fine detail and complaining about losing my glasses! Best investment ever. Strong magnification, various light brightness and temperatures (allowing for true colours and/or less glare). Takes a bit of practice to get used to positioning it, to allow for maximum magnification and ease of drawing around it. Extending it upwards, it also provided good lighting for photographing artwork (when daylight was poor). I can also see it coming in useful for sewing. Work especially well once I found my glasses.

Really Solid, Easy to use lamp. Made some fiddly soldering a doddle. Nice smooth arm action when extended and stays in place. The light is bright and the lens provides great magnification.

I did buy this from Amazon warehouse as "used like new" but it came with a broken knob for tightening the clamp. Luckily no sharp pieces and I could glue it back together. It was definitely not listed correctly and I would not have bought it if it said it had defects. It wasnt much cheaper than buying it new. I've bought other products listed as new and they were like new. Unlike this one.It does not effect the working ability of the lamp. Which is fairly sturdy. Time will tell.The lamp itself can detach from the clamp. I have found I can attach it to my stitchmaster frame. The magnification is good and very clear. The lamp lights up the working area well. I like the dimmable function as I dont always want it really bright.

Overall it's not bad but is let down by a couple of things.The light's good. Three settings (warm, cool, standard) have their uses and the dimmer function is nice just when using it as a table lamp in the evening.The magnifying glass could be better, and should be fine in most cases, but good optics cost quite a bit so I can't complain about that.Now for the 3 star rating... The top hinge holding the lamp onto the arm is a bit weak and makes it hard work to finely adjust the position even though there's a sticker on the head stating it should be about 5 inches away from the workpiece (I'm working on SMD circuit boards so this is important).Also the base needs more weight or to be larger. If the arm is extended and is swung sideways relative to the base it falls over.It's usable so it's not going back but I wouldn't have bought it if I'd have known the above beforehand.

This is perfect, great quality. Delivered weeks ahead of scheduled delivery date. Great gift for an artist, easy to put together and use. Ability to adjust brightness and light colour and easy to move around. Couldn’t fault it.

A sturdy well made product with ‘warmth’ of brilliant, or controlled brilliance, light with well designed lamp switch. A must for hobby craft people to aid their viewing.

LED light brilliant and cool to touch, only grumble would be design of the link to main arm, bit basic and needed setting up out of package. Usefulness outweighs this minor flaw...

It was a bit fiddly to assemble but once it's assembled it is working really well. It's adjustable so I can move it to the perfect position. It has made a big difference doing sewing and embroidery, which I could only do during the day with bright light. Both the light and the magnifying glass make it so easy to see what I'm doing.
