Small but mighty - I love this OBD2 ❤️
Nice scanner - actually is my second one -lost the first one ( which I'm expecting to show up anytime now that I've replaced it ;) All the better rather have one in each car. Really good quality -easy to connect - showed up as "OBD2"- not the name they said - was easy. This works with Dr. Prius , also Torque, Torque Pro , another hybrid vehicle app I am using to work on my Pirus C - very happy with it. I very used these on many vehicles and always get better data and more info than almost every single other more expensive unit . This - is a great product small size w small price - but big on function truly 👌 - CAN NOT RECOMMMEND ENOUGH !! You DO want THIS one! - ITS REALLY GOOD not fakery. Others MAY look like it but MANY are not the same inside. Accurate reader that is,what it says .

Even works with J1939 (heavy duty OBD)
I bought two of these (Android-only) to keep in my sons' cars. They work well, although they both show up with the same Bluetooth name, which can make it hard to know which one I'm connecting to. You have to look at the MAC address (6 hex numbers separated by colons) to tell. I pair them with the Car Scanner Pro app. That app's GUI is a little unintuitive, but it's functional. I like it better than Torque. It can pull SRS (airbag) codes, which saved me from having to buy a really expensive, pro-style scanner tablet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this scanner, combined with Car Scanner Pro, will even speak the J1939 protocol used in heavy duty trucks (like semis) and agricultural tractors. I don't know how fully it supports that, but it was able to connect just fine to my 2016 LS XR4145 tractor to pull & clear codes and watch basic live data. My tractor has an automotive-style 16-pin connector, but adapter cables are available to connect this dongle to 9-pin or other plugs found on most HD equipment. I'm about to buy two more of these to keep in my wife's and my vehicles for those unexpected emergencies.

P0420 – This OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner is a Mechanic in Your Pocket
Saved Me $800+ on a False Positive I’ve got a 2008 Dodge Caliber that threw a P0420 code with a recently replaced cat (3k miles). Picked up this Bluetooth OBD2 scanner on a whim — paired it with my phone in 10 seconds using Car Scanner ELM. Live data streaming is buttery smooth: Upstream O2: 0.07 → 0.7 V rapid switching Downstream O2: rock-steady ~0.7 V STFT: ±1% dead-on The O2 waveforms proved the cat was working perfectly — downstream wasn’t following upstream at all. Turned out the code was a false positive from the aftermarket cat being slightly under spec — not dead. Cleared the code, drove 50 miles, P0420 never came back again Pro tip: Use Car Scanner ELM — you get real-time graphs, freeze frame, and a clean, intuitive dashboard.Bottom line: This $14 tool proved my cat was fine, saved me from an unnecessary repair, and now lives in my glovebox. Every DIYer needs this. 100% worth it.

works
The Panlong Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner, when paired with an app like Torque Pro on Android, turns your smartphone into a surprisingly powerful diagnostic tool. For anyone who drives a vehicle made after 1996 and wants to save money on unnecessary mechanic visits, this low-cost reader is an essential investment. The primary function works. It quickly reads Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that trigger the dreaded Check Engine Light, and most importantly, allows you to clear them. This instantly saves you the cost of a diagnostic fee at the repair shop, counting that they dont charge you it anyways. The small, mini design means it can be plugged into your OBD-II port and left in place without interfering with driving or being easily noticed.

Works great.
Love it. I tried a couple other new OBDII scan tools prior to this that did not work with my older vehicles even though they were supposed to. This one DOES work and it is super easy to use. In fact, I am going to get another for my brother to have.

Piece of junk
Ok… a few years ago, I purchased one of these dongles prior to a road trip; I wanted to know things which my car was not sharing. Oil pressure, cylinder head temperature, coolant temperature… as this would be the first long trip taken in this vehicle, I wanted a heads up before there was an issue. The previous version was only for use with andriod products, so I also purchased a Fire tablet and an app called 'Torque' which allows for a multitude of dials and gauges and, when attached to my dashboard with Velcro, I had all the real time displays I desired for this first long distance drive. After the trip I removed the tablet from my car and cleaned the sticky stuff from my dashboard, and gave the tablet away to a friend who had use for one. A couple of weeks ago I trouble light appeared on my car's display, but my iPhone could not communicate with the old dongle, so I purchased this ‘upgraded' version to read the trouble code. Using the recommended software app, the device would continually disconnect from my iPhone, so I tried a few other OBD2 apps, and was always disappointed with one thing or another in the functionality of this device. I recommend purchasing something of a higher quality, which I shall be doing after the return and refund are processed. I guess this would be just another case of getting what you pay for, in and of the low cost; however, this time I received less than I paid for, and a whole lot of wasted time, and frustration, for which I shall never be compensated. I will be purchasing a real handheld unit, rather than one which uses an app to WIFI or Bluetooth to communicate. If ever again I want more gauges displayed, I will put out more money to get one which will actually function well. In short, if you like wasting money, go ahead.

Works good with Android and Torque pro
This works great with an android phone and Torque Pro app. I have one in all of my vehicles now. I use it to read and clear codes in all my vehicles and I also use this to run gauges in my 05 powerstroke to monitor lots of PIDS.

Fussy Bluetooth Paring with OBD Fusion App
I had trouble getting consistent connection to my Android phone running the OBD Fusion App. This seems to be a fussy process, but a different adapter works better (so far) using Bluetooth LE. These might work fine for different apps that work better with "traditional" Bluetooth pairing. Not sure if it's a App problem or a Reader problem. Why is this so hard?
