Plug and play. Listened to a CD and it seems fine. I bought it to burn CDs because my laptop doesn't have a built-in player/burner but haven't tried burning yet. I didn't realize it has SD and TF slots as well as 2 USB ports on the back. Nice surprise. It arrived nicely packaged and is brand new. So good so far.

Great item works very well and great price

Easy to use, affordable price. Disc drawer however feels like it could easily break. Use caution during opening, closing or applying a disc.

I’d like to say the CD drive works great! I had an old CD with family photos that was barely readable via externalized CD readers from old MacBooks (photos took forever to transfer, would randomly stop due to read issues, and would copy all corrupted), and this device read the disc just fine! I was also able to have two flash drive and an SD card readable at the same time. Lastly, the USB cable can also power the device, so no need to hook up the power connector and chew up an extra USB spot on the computer.Some nitpicks though: first, the cable is directly connected to the CD drive, so if that cable fails, the whole device is useless. Second, the SD card sticks out a bit further than I’m comfortable with, even though it’s on the back of the drive (see picture for reference). Lastly, it didn’t seem that I could connect a microSD and regular SD at the same time. Whatever card was inserted first would be read, and not the other. Still giving the product five stars as these issues are highly situational and not a big deal.

Great and easy to operate product.

Bought this item four months ago, used it a handful of times without issue. Could watch DVDs, read and burn CDs, everything worked fine. Then, last night, I started having issues. It read discs only half of the time, and sometimes would not mount on my system (MacBook Pro) at all. This morning, I could no longer burn CDs, and now I can't get it working at all. It's not even ejecting the disc without using the pinhole to force out the tray. Of course, it's too late to return it, but I'm very disappointed. I won't be buying from this seller or brand again. What a waste!

It looks well made and heavy duty and The Cord Length is good but it did not come as described. There is no USB-type C plug it is only USB 3.0 . I will have to use an adapter to be able to try out the unit but I am disappointed that the cord is not correct. I am unable to check the speed and if it is quite or even check the how well it plays due to needing a USB-type C plug to even use it on my laptop. It is compact so hopefully it will work properly once I am able to get it connected.

And I'm not a technical whiz.
