Background: I live in South Central Texas, in the Texas Hill Country where the fleas are stubborn and mosquitoes are plenty!! My 2 cats are both indoor and allowed outside onto their catio enclosed porch. They don't have any contact with grass. However, we take care of a family members cat who is allowed out into the wild. We purchased three collars for my two indoor cats and 1 explorer cat.Experience: When first taken out of it's package the collars the smell is STRONG! But relax, this only lasts a week or so. I have one VERY sensitive cat who has NOT tolerated other collars (his fur can fall out and sores can appear with other collars) has tolerated this collar. Our special needs rescue kitty also does very well with these collars. This is month 2-3 and the collars are still working. We take care of a family members cat who does go outside and roams the property. His collar was lost the first week and we have not found it. So I would say for outside roamers- there is potential for the collar to break and be lost. The one he had last year did stay on him all year. So we gave him the shoulder blade liquid treatment. So far no fleas on these cats and we are seeing the mosquitoes swarm them less. Last year without these specific brand collars the mosquitoes would really swarm the cats on the catio. This year we still might see 1 or 2 but not a swarm like before. It's been raining this year so the mosquitoes are bad.

Put new collars on my 2 cats recently & one came home with a dead tick under her collar! The long haired cat is difficult to find fleas/ticks bc she won’t allow combing🙄 but finding that dead tick 48 hrs after new collar was on tells me they work!👍🏻

I used this for an indoor cat, so I wasn't concerned about "heavy" protection. My cat had no problem adjusting to collar.

This color almost killed my cat! I bought this collar because it said it had like natural ingredients and my kid is getting older and I thought it might be better than some of the chemicals that I had in my Ceresco medicine that I usually use well I should’ve stuck with the Sarasta because it never hurt her like this stuff did just like a day after she had it on she started acting like she was in a daze. She was out of her mind she didn’t know what she was doing. She was she couldn’t hop up on things, and when she did, she couldn’t figure out how to get down and it was getting worse and worse so I thought you know what the only thing I’ve done differently with hers put that collar on so I took the collar off and I still took her to the vet because I wasn’t sure what it was and I don’t wanna take a chance and yeah $107 vet bill. Thank you very much so I would give this rating a zero but you don’t have zero stars so that’s what I would give it and believe me do not use this collar on your cat unless you want to kill it very very scary .

We had bought this before and tried other collars later, but went back to this brand. It's based on natural ingredient so it's consistent when I opened the package and there's no powder or strong chemical scent like other flea collar. Very easy to put on our out-door cat's neck and didn't even need to trim off end (probably he's got a chubby neck). He didn't fight it or seems bother by it much. We check the collar every once in a while whenever we went outside to pet him and the fit is still pretty good - didn't get looser or tighter, importantly, no rash or reaction around his neck. The first 1 - 2 weeks once the collar is put on, there seems to be still some fleas around, but afterwards it seems to work better. Also possible we let him out at night instead of the garage because of the summer weather, and we did have pest control treatment around our house/in the yard.

We have 6 cats and after one came back from being boarded for a few days, he had a few fleas. We ordered 6 of these collars to treat all of our kitties as well as some for our dogs so that every pet had protection. It has been more than 2 weeks and we are still flea combing fleas off of our cats. So it is NOT very effective for fleas. I will say it has helped more on our dogs than the cats.

No allergic reaction from my cats, has a nice mild scent & has protection for months.Will buy again in the near future, thank you!

My cat loves to be outdoors, but having moved to a more humid hot climate, she came in one day with fleas on her face! I applied some drops I had between her shoulders- no help. I researched natural ingredient collars or treatment, and found this collar. It fits her well, and she can't "houdini" herself out of it, like she does most collars. I check it daily, and need to snug it up a bit, but it has not come off in 2 weeks. But the fleas have! Within 2 days, I did not see any more fleas on her. I'm going to keep a supply of these on hand. She has been much happier now without all the scratching. This is amazing for keeping your kitty safe from fleas.
