Okay
This is a great activity, engaging game for kids. However it didn’t have clear instructions to assemble l. None the less my boys came up with a solution and used it as best as they could. They did enjoy playing with it

Great for a preschooler / early elementary student
I got these to work on early literacy skills with my child. For family use, the cards will last for a good amount of time. It is great that the vowels and consonants are different colors to help teach these concepts. It is an excellent way to practice reading CVC and CVCe words as well as to practice spelling and sight words.

Helpful for little ones!
This is a great teaching tool for young children! Doesn't take up too much space, and very useful for english-second-language learners as well. Great value for the price.

Great for emerging readers
My son is 5 years old and does not know how to read yet, but has expressed an interest in learning to read this summer. Something about this set hit the right note with him because he has really enjoyed making words and talking about letter sounds. So far we have found 2 ways to use the set:1. As shown in the product pictures, we choose a picture card and he sounds out the word and looks for the letters that make the word.2. We put up the letters for a word and give him 3 cards that could be the word. For example, we put up the letters CAT and give him the picture cards for Cat, Can, and Cap. He will then determine what picture matches the word we chose. (We found that if the first letters of the pictures were different it was too easy for him)The only issue we have noted is that the d and the p cards are exactly the same, as are the d and the q, which can cause my son a few moments of confusion. We solve this by laying out the letter cards first in 26 stacks. We also keep the picture cards in number order because there is a reference sheet that lists all the pictures and is extremely helpful when looking for a specific picture.Overall we really like this set and look forward to figuring out even more ways to use it as his reading progresses.

Good educational tool to enhance early literacy skills
This is a great portable product to support language development for young learners. My students enjoy working with the chart. You would probably have to laminate the cards to increase the longevity and durability especially if using in the classroom setting. I like that the vowel and consonant cards are different colors.

Useful Tool to learn CVC and CVCe words
The media could not be loaded. This is a great tool for pre-K and Kindergartners to learn phonics and CVC words. It comes with a set of lower case letters and pictures. Vowel letters are in red and consonant letters are in blue. I love that the display chart can be folded like a tent or can be hung vertically with the grommets. The clear pocket can hold all the letters/pictures and is detachable with a Velcro. The pictures are double-sides and number-coded.I like to use word families to teach how to read.- Example: “-at” family: I have the child choose the missing beginning consonant. What is the beginning letter sound for “c-at”, b-at, f-at, h-at, m-at, p-at, r-at, s-at”, etc? The child will eventually figure out that they just need to change the beginning letter to make a new word.- CVCe words (silent “e”): b-ake, c-ake, f-ake, m-ake, r-ake, t-akeCons:- No upper case letters- Some of the letters are confusing: letters b and q, d and p look very similar. I wish these letters were underlined to make it more clear. All in all, I think this kit is a useful tool to teach your kid how to read CVC words and to practice beginning, middle, and ending letter sounds.
